Subtitles get done faster, and if something is dubbed, that means it's been distributed. If it's been distributed, it's been edited for content. If it's been edited for content, it's often not as good.

I like Japanese voice with subtitles because when they make the english version they mess up while dubbing voices.

Once I get used to hearing the Japanese, I can never stand the english (like with Death Note.....UGH!!!!)the only anime that I watched in English were DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh, Sailor Moon, Fruits Basket, and Kyo Kara Maoh...

I perfer subtitles all the way over english dub. They cut out so much in eng dub, its so annoying and the voices of the characters just sound very bad.

I watch everything as the ordinary sub *shudders: Naruto dub* with the exception of Full Metal Alchemist. After a few episodes (which I could only find in English) it was hard to adjust to the Japanese voices, so I sticked with the dub. Yup ^^

I don't know about you guys but I just basically love the spoken japanese, dubbing is like killing animals. It's wrong. Unless you need food.

I'd say no to dubbing.Because some times, the dub doesn't correctly match to the real meaning in original language

I'd much preferably choose Japanese with Subtitles.I would definitely rather read Subtitles instead of hearing crappy DUBS.Naruto is a GREAT example for "Crappy DUBS".

I'm not a natural dub hater like the others so basically, I first watch an anime in a fansub. Then when it's licensed, I listen to a sample (basically downloading a DVD dual audio rip of an anime) to see if the dub is good. Then I buy a the DVD if I liked it.So my vote goes for the "I don't care".

It's kinda hard to decide on this one. After all, you have some anime where the English translations are quite close to the original Japanese and the voice acting for the English versions are fairly decent at least (e.g. Trigun and Naruto). On the other hand, there are some anime that you see the English translations for them and you wonder WHY they decided to do a crappy job with them (esp. One-Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh).

subbed is better than dubbed for the most part. the only problem with dubs is that usually the voices chosen for the characters are incredibly annoying or dont match at all. not all of the characters, but at least one major one. they did that with naruto. naruto's voice was awful. and still is. the japanese voice was way better. death note as well. i say L's voice and Light's voice should be switched for the american dubbed version. every now and then there is a good dub, like cowboy beebop. but not too often, so sub is better

Dubs are usually gay...so far the only one I have found ok is the dubs in Jubei-chan (season 1). Also, sometimes the meaning is changed like I was watching an ep in english in inuyasha and kagome sounded angry at him but in jap she was feeling sad...However, there are some dubs that do a good job.

the american voices for half the characters are completely off, like they just picked random people off the street to do it
