Hmmm.. I honestly don't care unless the Dub is REALLY bad...I do sometimes get annoyed having to read the subtitles on the Japanese versions though...

i much prefer having the japanese with english subs. living in japan, watching these helps with my japanese listening, and i can usually pick up new words every now and then.

I like the english dubs way better, everyone sounds like they're on helium in the Jap audio.

i'd prefer the subtitles, with every anime i've seen that has dubs, they always seem to remove the extra blood and violence scenes =P the story sometimes changes a little bit too and that can get annoying.

I gotta go with Japanese with English subtitles. The only exception I've found that I like is Rurouni Kenshin.

japanese subtitles are way better. the english dubs are horrible after you've heard the japanese version.

They both have their ups and downs. With subs, you usually get better quality in the dialogue (sans American squeamish-ness at certain key words and phrases). However, I've noticed that in more recent years, dubs have become more faithful. For example, I have watched "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" all the way through (more than once) in both sub and dub. They were more or less the same thing. From what I've seen of Lucky Star, the same is true. I like to get the best of both varieties.

LOL, I like English dub so much more! It's easier to listen than to read. I miss out on a lot when I'm reading subtitles... and I really find the Japanese voices weird for the characters. Anyway, just my opinion, but it's not like I can't stand the Japanese ones.

I prefer subs. Some English dubs just sound really abnormal and over-pronounced.

English dubbed anime is lame because they use the same voice actors, and most of them are annoying, except Steve Blum & Johnny Young Bosch. I prefer the original Jap voices with eng subtitles because it makes it more enjoyable in my opinion, and I won't have to deal with stupid American jokes where crucial plot points were lol!

I prefer Japanese voice with subtitles when watching anime or drama. Listening to dub can ruin the show you are watching.

Japanese voice and English subs all the way!! Watching an English dubbed anime sounds so funny compared to English subs. Just does sound right.

Definitely english subs with japanese voices. I actually like trying to figure out some of the words when I hear japanese, but also...it just feels much more authentic!

I don't care as long as the dub is faithful to the original script and the voice acting is good. I end up watching more subs just because they're more common

I say the original Japanese versions with subtitles are waaaaaaaaay better than the english ones.Sure you might miss some of the action but who really cares. It sounds a lot better than thatEnglish duplicate. And you don't get to worry about those short but irritating delays in speech.

You lose the full context of the dialog with dubbing because of the way they try to sync the newly written English dialog to the animation that was designed for Japanese dialog. so i believe Japanese with subs is the best, but alas my girlfriend cant stand reading subtitles so I'm forced to ruin all my favorite anime
