i honestly like japanese with sub better because they seem tied into the characters more, but I found that I quote dubbed animes more than the subbed.

Seriously, Subtitles are alot better. Not only does this way teaches you a bit of Japanese, but seriously man, c'mon, look at the voices for English DUB of Naruto. Why the hell is Rock Lee's voice so high-pitched like a 9 year old?! And Kakashi sounds......funny, I can't really explain it, but he sounds REALLY funny.

The original cuts are the best. It doesn't get sliced to little ribbons like when it gets ported to English audiences...The American censors cut out this line from Vegeta's monologue from the Namek Saga:"If there's anything I learned throughout this whole ordeal is that I'm a friggin' genius!"On TV, I never heard that, but on the uncut videos I have, he said it. Odd...

Most of the time, I prefer subs, like everyone else. However, it probably actually depends on what I hear first. If I watched a dubbed FMA before I watched a subbed one (for whatever reason), then I'll probably like dubbed better. However, it's rare that I watch a dubbed before a subbed.

Sigh...People have no respect for the dubbing industry these days. I mean, do most of you guys even take the chance to even listen to recent dubs? >.<That said, I'll listen to the dub if it sounds good. Of course, that only occurs in the more serious anime. Heaven forbid should Americans even try to do a sugar sweet anime for a dub. :P

I prefer subbed, simply because dubbed anime tends to be (but not always) very watered down, censored, characters have their entire personalities changed... and of course, anything dubbed tends to get its fanbase overrun by 8 year olds.... just look at what happened to the naruto fanbase once it got dubbed.

aside from the occasional good one, I prefer all my anime subbed. More often than not the dubbed versions cut out, dilute, and switch everything around to the point that its nothing like the original

I prefer subs, cause, to me there is more emotion in the voices of Japanese voice actors. And plus, most dubbed anime sucks, cause they can never get the english voice actors to match the characters' personality.

yea, dat is true, the few good dubs i've seen are Air Gear, Cowboy Beebop, and FMA. Also, most dubbed anime get changes that water down jokes or make situations where they wont be offensive to non-Jap audiences, tell u the truth, if u see it as a joke and understand wuts going on, why shud u be offended especially when the creator doesn't mean to be?

I can stand the Dubs (some times) but the sub is way better as the voices aren't annoying.e.g in the anime zach bell (konjiki no gash bell) Gashs (Zachs) voice is done by the person who did jimmy nutron.

English dubs make my ears bleed. :gay2: Besides, they never seem to fit the character properly. The only exception I make for this is YuYuHakusho, cause the Japanese voices just don't seem right to me.
