Many people think it is correct path but of course it is not. If you will follow B* path instead of B, the you will eventually get out of the track from outside region of D or you have to apply more brakes to manage to get to D. You can say that if two drivers are follow B* and B path then if both drivers manage to remain on the track, then driver using B path will go ahead.
