How do you get rid of backgrounds in images?

Ca nyou be a little specific on that? Well if you want to extract a pic from a image u can, if it is the case post it and i will tell u you what to do!

Use Poliginal Losso Tool... carefuly select over the pic you want to get rid of background... choose a little feather...(like 1)

Depending on size, contrast, background vs image, type of image needing to be extracted, and some other things I can't think of right now, your best bet would be the polygon lasso tool but that's not for all though. In some cases it's easier to mess around with the channels.
