Just wondering which upcoming RPG people are anticipating more: Blue dragon or Lost Odyssey. Blue Dragon has been hyped up a lot, but the look and game play videos of Lost Odyssey are mind blowing.

Tecnicaly, I think that it doesn't matter wich one will be the best... The fact is, Hironobu Sakagushi is back and the Square might have to rethink its ways. This is the greatest truph in the hands of M$, the XBOX has grown a lot since its firs instalment.

actually lost odyssy looks cool and the game play in blue dragon is messed up but I'm not interested in either 'cause they're turn based, now if lost odyssey was an action RPG that would be fricken sweet

Kinda Hard to compare, one is cartoonish and seems for kids while the other looks more like an adult style game with more realism. Though they both look tight and will be interesting to play.

Well I've already completed Blue Dragon so I'm really looking forward to Lost Odyssey. It's looking great though and Uematu's music I've heard from it is fantastic.

Is it as kidish as it looks or is it actually good to play? I get bored ez with those games that are kind of kiddy.

Are Dragon Quest games kid's RPG just because the characer designs are by Toriyama Akira of Dragon Ball fame? No it's not. If you had thought so then you rather immature to think that? Was Chrono Trigger childish because of the same reason? Absolutely not. Are Mario games stricly for kid due to the representationof the characters? No as Mario games were made for wide range of audience. Was the very dark FFIX kiddy because of chibi character? If you say this to this it just shows how shallow you are as a gamer. Are anime made for children? In Japan where anime are from it is a media that can be enjoyed by all audience. Some are even adult despite it's style. If you actually thought otherwise for those question above then I suggest for to miss out on this game. My advise to you however is to not judge a game by appearance or you'll be missing out on several gem. Lastly please at least try to type proper English.Sakaguchi who is the executive behind all Mistwalker's game was the man who made FF and Square the authority in JRPG that is is today. Not to mention Uematsu who made most of the best music tracks from FF games does all Mistwalker game's soundtrack. Although he's not my fave he's still a legend in the industry.

Oh my, if I had known some one as well renowned as you were going to be posting here then I would have worked to be more proper with my grammar! BTW who are you again? Not any one I care about, that's for sure. Did I, any where in my post, state that I thought that all those games were CHILDISH (happy now) because they looked like a cartoon??? Get a life man, I came here seeking the opinion of those that had played the game because I HAVE, in fact, bought games that looked like cartoons and was bummed because they WERE childish. So if you don't mind, take your self absorbed, pompous, better than thou attitude and shove it.

Are you not the immature one here? DOH. Firsly you post a comment suggesting that it's likely kiddy because of the graphical presentation. It might help if you do some research yourself before the assumption. I merely pointing reasons for you to consider before making your judgement. It seem you are the one being an ass about it. I'm not self-absorbed otherwise I wouldn't have cared to post such informative post for you to consider. Who am I? A fellow poster here who's trying to point out that BD is worth it without fangirlish comments. I se you are easily insulted sensitive turd that's probably wasn't worth my effort to inform. Perhaps you should get a life. Think about what I said because I'm sure taking the hint might you become a better person.

Based off of the demo for Blue Dragon, I was extremely bored; the battle system was so dull and that is around half of the game. I went through about two battles before I decided to stop the demo and go on to Stuntman: Ignition, which was released alongside it. The demo didn't glorify the game at all, which leads me to choose Lost Odyssey over it. I'd say Eternal Sonata is better than Blue Dragon as well, but that doesn't really matter here.

Oh my, did some one get a twist in there panties? I hadn't realized that these boards were designed so that we would have to listen to you spout how all mighty thou are! I could honestly give two craps what you think, I asked a question of some one else and have little desire to even bother with you. Immature... let me see, is it not immature to attack some one for asking a simple question? NO WHERE did I suggest anything!!!! GET THE CLUE MORON! I asked what they thought of it! Have you even played the damn game or do you just like to share your droll opinions with the poor masses that happen upon these boards??? The only person offended here is you and for some reason, god only knows, you think you have to defend the whole Asian gaming world because one person asked if a game that looks like a cartoon was kiddy! How about you reevaluate your own life before criticizing others!! Or only people like you good people... no your not conceded at all!

I have the game and have completed it already as I said in the my first post post here. You say you don't give two crap what I think yet you quoted me first to ask the question in regards to the game being kiddy or not. I answered those questions. I don't think I've insulted you in any way if you care to go back and read. I merely suggested that if you did say yes to those questions then you might be to narrowminded to play and enjoy Blue Dragon. I can't see why you would be insulted from that. Serious go back and read again. I think you are being overly sensitive over nothing having to go out and start insulting me for no reason. I also have a life. Just finished work and heading out now. Cheers jerk. I'm sure if you speak that way to girls in general then you might truely be a tosser. Meh... :P

Calling people narrow-minded and illiterate... hmmm your right I can't see any way for them to NOT be offended there. What ever, I apologize to all those that I have punished with this whole conversation. I now know who not to ask questions of.

^Its been out in Japan for awhile. I brought it when it came out there. Since I can speak and read Japanese that's not a problem for me. If you can read Japanese I suggest just to get it imported. I don't know about compatibility though so you should ask someone that does.

Staglionas, from my perspective you were the one who "started it". He was just asking and then you started attacking him. From my perspective he wasn't doing anything wrong because graphic representations CAN be misleading. and so he was just asking about it, and asking is a form of research. Just what I had to say about this whole arguement, which is pointless.Blue Dragon, only because its coming out sooner.

Well I only played Blue dragon and it's good but the only thing I hate is that why do you need a dumb blue dragon to fight for you. I could understand if it's a summoning move but that thing does everything in your battles
