I bought mine when they were first released and therefore paid quite a bit for it. I rarely play it these days though. The ds is my favourite portable console. I don't regret buying the psp though.

I'd have to say PSP is the ultimate portable console. And pretty cheap now too.DS has mostly little children's games, so I'd rather have a PSP.

At first, I did regret it. I bought it because I thought the features sounded pretty cool. The first game I got was Medievil Resurrection. It was fun, but I didn't find it to be a game to buy a system over as I was pretty much going to use it just for games. At the time, there weren't that many good games for it. However, now there are some games I love and are addicted to. I haven't been able to put music on it yet because I don't have a PSP-USB cable. I don't really care for watching movies on it, seeing as I got a portable dvd player for my birthday earlier that year. I don't know how to use custom firmware and I don't think you can even use it on a 3000 (my first one's screen got smashed). Even though I'm not using it to it's fullest, I still like it and don't regret buying it.

I like some of the games for it but it just doesn't have enough to warrant me keeping it much longer.

I like being able to have a wider range of games available to me instead of just for one handheld (such as having just a ds or psp) so I don't regret it at all. It's a great system in everything it does.

I do regret it a little. When I was playing popular games such as Metal Gear and FF7CC, it was alright for a while. When the games started to dwindle a bit, I felt some regret towards buying the PSPbut not enough to sell it because of the game titles that were linked towards games on thePS2 and PS3. Now it just collects dust. They need more compatibility with other consoles like the DS has so that people will be able to buy games that they've played before on another console, ie:Final Fantasy series and not be only hanging on those games to keep their PSPs.

You should hack your PSP. Depending on which model you have...you can play everything from pong to N64/PSX.But I do agree, there is far too much space in between good PSP titles.Read around the homebrew/emulation folder and get a sense of what you can do. There is quite a scene.

I bought a broken S/H PSP and repaired it and I don't regret it.I probably should do, since I've still only played freeware/scumm games on it, and it spends most of it's life in a drawer. If a uPNP or a MythTV client were released for it, I doubt I'd ever leave it alone.Def. a good buy, if for nothing else than for having a little handheld Monkey Island and Powernoid.

It's a tough decision to make. The whole Monster Hunter series as well as the Star Wars: Battlefront series were deal makers. However, as time progressed, Not many games have appealed to me, Dynasty Warriors and a few others were great for a few kicks, but all-in-all I don't really think it was worth it. Anyways, Monster Hunter 3 is coming out for the Wii.

A PSP may not be for everyone. Personally, I love it. It really all goes down to what type of games one likes playing. OVERALL, DS games are more directed to younger audiences and if those appeal to you then DS is probably the better choice in keeping. However, there are plenty of amazing games for the PSP. Monster Hunter Freedom 1 and 2, FF7CC, Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce happen to be some of my favorites for the PSP so far.

Maybe the PSP isn't for you. Why don't you give it a second chance because it can play GBA and PS1 games (and many more), you just have to know how to use it. :(

people who dont like the psp dont know how to use it. it can do almost every thing if you know how

He's right. The PSP is awesome once you learn to use it. You can download PS1 games and other games onto it, download music and videos, and go online. Before you sell it you should try God of War.

The only thing I regret is buying games, for any system! I guess if you bought a PSP 3000 you could regret it if you didn't know custom firmware can't be installed on it yet. In my opinion the PSP is the greatest hand-held to date.
