"Hit Me With Your Best Shot" - Pat Benetar, of course there are better songs but this is one I first heard on the series so I associate it with Guitar Hero.

I like "Jordan" by Buckethead (GH2). "Prayer of the Refugee" by Rise Against (GH3), "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine (GH3), "Don't Hold Back" by The Sleeping (GH3), and "L'Via L'Viaquez" by The Mars Volta (GH4).

My current favorite song from the Guitar Hero Series is either Impulse by An Endless Sporadic on Guitar Hero III or Laid To Rest By Lamb Of God on Guitar Hero II.
