It's funny. I'm obsessive about keeping my newest DS Lite (2nd DS Lite and 3rd DS overall, lol) in its case at all times when not using it, but I never did buy it a screen protector. I dunno... I never had any major issues with scratches on my previous DS', so it didn't even cross my mind to buy protectors for this one. I doubt I ever will buy 'em, too.

Yes, I was encouraged by one of my friends too. I recommend to do it.They're tricky to put on...bubbles and bumps from bits of dust underneath. After peeling and applying it a couple of times, I got hardly no air bubbles, but the cover is slightly crooked now!Anyway, I once spilled a glass of orange juice on my DS, and I'm just glad I had the screen protector. Besides shielding from the juice, the glass actually "tapped" the screen....just glad it was there- I think it helped!

Of course. With the million scratches and thumb prints on the screen two years later (and seeing the same on a friends DS who didn't buy one), it's probably the most essential add-on I've bought for 5 bucks.

i always have a screen protector on mine. i got so many scratches on it because people were pressing so hard when they were using it. i thought for sure it would have gone through and scratched the actual screen. but when i took it off to replace, it was in perfect condition. i never had air bubbles in mine, you just have to be careful when you put in on. although the one i have right now has a small speck of dust which bugs me. but it doesnt affect the performance of it.

I think that the covers are lame. I never buy them because I don't care if ANYTHING of mine shows a little wear and tear.

I did because there for a while I wasn't to sure how many people would be playing it and didn't want to screw it up.

I bought a whole bundle, so my protectors came with my DS. =D Really good ones too, easy to apply without bubbles and not overly reflective. Some of my friends who borrowed it couldn't tell that they were applied.Really glad for them though, some of the aforementioned friends scratch the screen like anything with the stylus.

I bought mine with the screen protector. Good thing too as I loaned it to a friend's kid and got scratches all over the screen.

I didnt when I first got my DS 2 weeks ago, but just went and bought one today because my touch screen already has scratches on it. It has no air bubbles either, you just have to take care when applying. The screen protector doesn't effect gameplay at all. I am also going to buy a crystal case because it will protect the hinge (it takes some of the stress off the hinge when opening and closing). Anything to protect my DS which I have longed for for AGES!!!
