Resident Evil Four hands down. Me and some guys were up at maybe two in the morning playing that and we would pass off the controller. So i gets the troller and twenty seconds after i start some chainsaw guy is calmly chopping my head off. Freaked the crap outta me. I'm a master now but geez I didn't that night.

Is the cat in the box alive or dead?

If you open the box, you will know the answer.

You will know the truth.

However, until you open the box, you can claim that the cat is alive, and you can also claim it is dead.

The Fatal Frame series was pretty good, and since it wasn't given much attention, or advertised much, I don't feel this series was hyped at all. It's one of those games I had to discover on my own, and what pulled me in was the cover. I mean everything about it looks like a horror game, so I knew what I was getting into when I played it, but I didn't know exactly how scary it was going to be.

I was frightened by the level which introduced you to the flood in Halo. The walking through countless bloodstained rooms, losing my way only to be ambushed and assassinated by some random flood I had forgotten to kill. Did not like the constant feeling of "Is there something behind me? *TURNS* oh nothing... *Walks forward... BAMF* GRAHHHHH!"Yes, I found it scary. The husks in Mass Effect weirded me out a lot too... finding entire mine shafts filled with them and those spiky dragon's teeth things... *shudder*

When I first played Halo: Combat Evolved, the Flood scared the living crap out of me. I had to walk away several times.

My wife and I would say Final Fantasy XII. My wife coached me through Final Fantasy XII. While she'd never played it before, she held the strategy guide and kept track of my bearing on the map. One of her comments as I played it was, "Some of the bosses look really scary! If I weren't playing it with you, I wouldn't like to play this because some of the bosses are so scary." While I don't feel the same sense of fear that she did, I can definitely understand where she was coming from.

Metroid Fusion, for one. I don't even need to explain this one. Anyone who has played it, they know about the SA-X and what it does. Furthermore, the fact that Nintendo can make me sh*t bricks playing a game on a screen that is 3 by 5 inches is some kind of awesome. Also, Ocarina of Time was probably the game that ******ed up my childhood more than anything else. The worst would probably be the wallmasters. You are just walking along, minding your own ******ing buisness, when you hear RAOIAHOGFIHAPOIJHEFRAFS AND THERE IS A ******ING SHADOW FOLLOWING YOU AND SOMETHING ABOUT TO LAND ON YOUR HEAD AND RAPE YOU, HOLY ******ING ****** RUN.Your turn!

I AGREE WITH THE OCARINA OF TIME ONE! i was like 7 when i played it and the redeads, wallmasters and those freaky white things with small heads like gave me nightmares for years.

Halo 3.No kidding, not because of the actual enemies, but because they come out of nowhere. I had suspicions that the game developers made a Covenant spawn point follow me during the first few stages that I played with my friend.

Aw, c'mon! Yes, there have been times when video games scared me half to death, but isn't this just a little bit of an overexageration here?

Legend of Zelda - Oricana of Time...those zombies were a bit freaky....especially when you couldn't run away from them for a few seconds.
