As much as I love Call of Duty 4, it's been proven. Halo has such a ridiculous fanbase that I doubt anything could actually knock it off its pedestal. Look at the figures. Halo did $170 million in sales on it's release day. That week it dominated all of Hollywood in terms of revenue. And when Call of Duty 4 was released, it fell far short of the mark. Not because it wasn't a great game, but because there are too many Halo fanboys in the world.

as i have both games, i have to say that Call of Duty 4 has a better single player campaign, and better multiplayer, although there are a few bugs that need to be worked out in CoD4 online, i still say it kicks Halo out of the ring, one thing that Halo dominates CoD4 in the multiplayer catagory is Skin/Model customization, but you could say that CoD4 makes up for this with its vast weapons options, i give CoD4 a 9 1/2 out of 10 and Halo 3 a 9/10

Halo will definitly beat call of duty but that dosen't mean it is a better game i thought it got to much hype and the game was short i beat it in 2 days, so although halo will get more sales i think call of duty is the better game

i highly doubt call of duty 4 as good as a game as it is will out rank a game like halo 3 one of the best shooting games around.& thats a fact dudes

they are both good, but I don't think anything for the 360 will be able to top Halo 3.

it's hard to answer because they're both are good but cod4 will be better because we will be playing as a normal soldier.halo3, we will be playing as a super soldier(spartan)and always survive in every battle.no soldier will always survive like that.

Halo is way to fun with online play and makeing your own maps so I say no

Wow I dont even know why Im posting here, but well, I agree with al of you despite the fact that its beyond my comprehension of why anyone would play halo. I dont like it, I just dont. It doesnt appeal to me in any way, and I often find myself bored by it many times, I dont know why. I owned both Halo 3 andCOD world at war - and I love COD over Halo - god I even traded halo in just to buy soul calibur 4. But judging by how many people play halo,Im guessing it will do great in sales...

well i ahve to say, Call of Duty 4 is better than Halo3 for many reasons, other than Halo3 only being available on one platform and Call of duty 4 is on many platforms, PC, WII, PS3 and Xbox 360 , and plus PS3s fans obviously don't care for Halo 3 since its only on Xbox 360.
