they hate anime cause we watch it too much if you didn't watch it for a long time then the animeinvovles violence, nudity/sex, or its really queer

I don't think they exactly hate it. It's more like, they think it's childish and when they see it for a few minutes they think it's boring. (If it's a hentai... I don't know how they would react. =S)

My parents dont mind because they know its not real and they think its stupid plus i think they know Im mature or something.maybe they used to watch cartoons when they were little.

My parents don't hate anime, but they have the preconception that all things animated are childish non-sense not realizing that japanese popular theater is almost totally dominated by animation.

If it's different from their culture, then the parents will dislike it. If it's similar to the culture they grew up with, they'll be fine.

my parents don't really care but i guess some parents thinks it's childish or the drawings of the female character is too *sexy* and teaches kids the wrong things

My father is the reason why I watch anime. He's an Otaku and it rubbed off on me. His DVD collection of store bought anime is around 1500+ in size and Downloaded is around 590 full DVDs (4.7 gb per DVD, you do the math

my parents don't hate anime every time they walk pass and see me watching it they usually say "Oh that looks kind of pretty" lol because they think the animation looks good but they don't actually know what it's about.

I watch animé since i was in my late teens and i still watch it now, and i am a parent of one 3 year old.Not all Parents Think its Kiddish. Probably all of your parents are much older than me. may be they dont like you watching to much animé because they don't want you stuck in front of a Tv/pc screen all day. May be because you have homework to do and they may be just looking out for you and your future. or may be they are boring old farts

Most parents think its the same thing as a cartoon. Younger ones, however, do not.

Uh, I hope you guys know what anime is. Japanese cartoons. No matter how you look at it, they ARE cartoons. There are some for young children, and those for older audiences. It's just the same, but a different variety.

agree and just dunno why they dont like us being so obsessed with stuff like this cuz they think that we wont concentrate on skl worksThey don't hate it, just that, many never knew much about it and that they see their children watching it obsessively.
