I think that they just don't want to sit down and try to give the art style they aren't used to a try. If most parents sat down and watched it because they were semi-interested in it and not just screening the show to see if it is appropriate for their children to watch the art-loving parents would find the art style intriguing

My parents dont care, but they have a tendency to disturb me in my anime-prime time. But I guess they envy us. They don't have the imagination capicity

I think it is a matter of what kind of parents you have some could care less other will hate it kind of like game.

My parents don't hate it I think, but they don't really know what I'm watching. My sister though thinks it's to bloody.

Mine don't. Or at least my Dad I guess. He makes jokes about Naruto though. X3 But he went to see the movie with me when it was (surprisingly) playing in my Province.

My parents only comment when we watch too much in a short period of time, using the cliche: Why dont u go out to see the sun for a change??They're afraid we dont do enough for school and get bad grades ;)Besides that, because I watch anime I'm able to speak quite some japanese now, and my mom gets a blank stare when I'm on the phone with my half-japanese friend, because she's trying to hear if its english or something else we're speaking 
That's just rubbish... Ever seen the Disney fairytales... They're not violence-free either!i think because of anime that is the children make a violence!

Its not anime that makes child violent, its usually the society pressures and bad influences from films or tv shows, other kids or even adults even parents on the rare ocasion things that go on around the family. its wrong to just to blame one thing for a child's violent behaviour.
