Its lucky for me, my parents don't mind me watching Anime. Only thing I have to keep in mind is that I don't have consider watching it above any other thing. I must not be so engrossed that I should forget whats going around (And I tend to do that very often ). My Parents often watch Anime to refresh, or when I tell them, that the episode is nice. my parents don't hate animes...they just think anime is childish...bah! what about hentai animes? do they think it's childish?(I don't think they know about hentai animes though...)

when i was younger, my mother didn't want me looking at anime because of the violence and demons that was in the show. but now look at whatever i want

my parents dont actually know i watch anime, its usually when im not supposed to be, so i hide it (its on the comp). as for TV anime, my bro doesnt like it but my parants think its just a cartoon

Well There could be two things. First they think that pre-teens should not watch anime because they think it is childish. Second, they may think that anime are too explicit and can affect one's mental growth.

My dad has always disliked me watching it, as well as cartoons in general, due to how he sees them as a childish. For that reason, I tend to watch ecchi in front of him, just to scare him into thinking Im a lesbian. My mom actually loves anime due to the risque nature (He is my Master is one of her favorites) but isnt too into serious ones or romance ones like I am.

They hate it because they think it's really kiddish to look at, and after all, they're adults. Even though we become an adult slowly, they want us to stop watching animes as they think that watching animes makes us a small kid. They're wrong.

It all depends on how much each parent knows about manga and anime. Some think it's a waste of time (like my own). But I have friends whose parents actually watch the anime with them. In fact, one of them knows about her two daughter's Yaoi obsession and she's OK with it!! Another one of my friend's mother actually left her alone in the middle of Fruits Basket to go read Black Cat. Point is, it depends on the parent.

I think it really depends on the parents.. but usually parents don't really hate anime.. they just think it's childish or there are other things better to do than spending time with these anime stuffs.. and parents might start hating anime when they see there children giving too much attention to anime that they forget to focus their minds on other things they think more important..

My parents would think its too mature for me and probaly too much revealence of the human body....even though too me thats a good thing
