Has Nintendo ever done that? n65?? Gamecube 2?? I think not! The only exception is the SNES. No, I think we'll leave the lame naming up to Sony.

lol Wii 3 is going too far. Which is why PS3 is trash. And no I'm not a Nintendo fanboy. I just don't like Sony period. And I hate Microsoft cause they took away Banjo Kazooie from me!(I only buy Nintendo systems but that doesn't mean I'm a fanboy)

I doubt there'd be a Wii 2.Maybe a new console, with a new concept, and a new name.Nintendo are quite good at differentiating their handhelds and consoles to produce something more spectacular!

I don't think they are going to call it Wii 2 (even if they really are going to release a new one). I can't spot out anytihng they missed out on the Wii (based on what it's supposed to do).

Of course there will be successors. I don't know if they'll give it the same name though. I'd imagine they won't change much with the good things about the Wii. It is selling so fast compared to the other higher priced systems.

well the wii 2 would be the wii nii (nii being 2 in japanese)wii niiweeneeweinerget it ? =]on a serious note:i dont think it would be practical because the wii gets constant updates so it shouldnt need a next console.

It's been a long time since Nintendo has actually created a sequel to anything other than a handheld console. I think they'll go as far as a second Wii, the name would most likely change but the control scheme would be similar but more refined and accurate. I think after that though the Wii idea will drop and they'll commit to some new form of completely off the path gaming. Everything can only be speculative though and only time will tell.

There were rumors even at the launch of the Wii that there were another one in preparation! It may be just as Microsoft did with the Xbox, with only 2 years between each console and a retro-compability

It's too early to tell, but they will probably rename the sequel.
