I hope so. Maybe they ran out of ideas though. That would really suck.

It might... But if I wolud be Nintendo, I will think about taking advantage of the new market I (Nintendo) have create for casual players and also encourage hardcore players to try the Wii with some "hardcore" games like some Final Fantasy or Metal Gear to say a few. Also I as nintendo will try to push the tech for the Wii, like releasing a USB Hard drive so games like Rock Bang, Guitar Hero or many FPS can use them to download songs, maps and many other features. The WiiWare sounds cool, but why not a demo channel, like the ones XBox Live and PSN have? The Wii can have a long live, but depends of the decisions Nintendo takes from here...But just in case there is going to be a "wii 2" or something like that... I prefer they to keep with the idea of the wii-remote but with PS3-like or even better graphics and an optional Hard Drive. The Wii-Remote must remind until a new tech shows up and make the games fun.

Probably another system with a different name and slightly different controllers.

there is no way there will be a "wii 2". the main selling point of the wii is that it is a whole new way to play video games. what would the selling point of the second generation be? only slightly better graphics and the same gameplay of the first? unlikely.

As we move more into virtual reality games (i'm sure people have seen these starting to permeate at arcades), I think that Nintendo will probably start exploring that realm. The Wii, as someone has already said, is a very solid console. The graphics aren't spectacular, but why should they be? The Wii wasn't designed to be pretty. In the future I bet we'll have gloves that fit around our hands that will be able to mimic our finger movements to on screen, and then they'll do chairs, 360 goggles, etc....It's not too far off. I'm sure they've drooled over the idea themselves. Whenever the technology finds away to become less expensive, and home affordable, makr my words we'll see that type of stuff.

The Wii was a good idea with a few awesome games... Ok so all I can think of is SSBB... but its still a awesome system with one good game.Truthfully the Wii was a great idea but... it just has not reached its potential. Unless Nintendo can improve this situation (and let me download Game Boy games... I WANT THE MMZ GAMES) then they will just halved to come up with a even better idea. Also yes i know theres more than one good game for the Wii but SSBB so far is the only great game.Although i do gotta admit being able to play the classic games more is AWESOME!(P.S. noobies: SSBB = Super Smash Bros. Brawl, MMZ = Mega Man Zero)Noobies? Mega Man Zero is NOT a Gameboy game. It is a GBA game.

I think they should just stop at 1... I mean, I love my Wii but money's always tight and I'm not going to be able to afford anything soon ^^' Besides, it's an original concept, after the Wii maybe they should try something else original?

I think there will be a stronger version of the wii, but the same controllers and everything. Like PS1 -> PS2, but games work on both because the revved up one just loads faster and has better looking images. That's what I think will happen.

To me, it'll be stupid if Nintendo were to make a Wii 2 or more, unless they improved the graphics or something major that could replace the original Wii.Otherwise, the next game system would most likely be named a different name.

i think that nintendo will keep creating motion based games , but on a mor dynamic scale, like actually having some type of way to controll the hands and feet of the characters you are using by wearing gloves and boots, and having limitless types of weapons. It seems like the ability to truly control the blade in the tv by doing the motions would actually make the game seem ten times more realistic.

they'll definitely rename it and make it a while new consol, they've never done a second version of any system, except if you count gameboy, gameboy colour, and gameboy advance, but even still, it wasn't gameboy IIunlike playstation and such

I'd say to go just up to three, but if not, just stay at the first one, it's good the way it is anyway.
