That's what I heard too, I think that instead for doing that, they should make that an add-on to the WiiI think the new console might have a different name knowing Nintendo but an upgraded console may be a possibility like a HD Wii that has the ability to play dvd's etc.
Do you think their is gonna be a wii 2?

i think that nintendo will continue to produce consols that have similar features as the wii but i will imagine they will add more features and probably change the name

I predict in the future (maybe with or without the name of wii on it) Nintendo will be the ones to creat a virtual reality game completely interactive. Just imagine being link and actually walking around in Hyrule. Awesome

i think the next platform will be inspired on the wii, but not called that way, since nintendo allways rename the product into super"xxxx" or advanced "xxx"

I doubt there'd be another Wii. Nintendo has never made a "second" of any of their systems and this will be no exception. They might make another system eventually similar to the Wii (or maybe add different color schemes) but it won't be a "Wii 2".Adding numbers to their systems is XBOX's job

They'll make another console deffinately especially since they still have a popular fan base with mario & sonic.but wii 2, i voted yes but when i think about it i'd say they would change the name to something better/different.

Marketing won t ever stop. When games will stop selling, Nintendo will creat something new. Creations won t stop. I'm still curious to know if someday a new console will be played with our whole body. Like in Hack Sign. That shall be fun.

Didn't they already announce a Wii2 for the near future? As in the next couple of years? That's what I heard at least. I'm not sure but that was what I read...somewhere.Probably a lie or a rumor but let's get excited about it anyway!

Well,I hear that Nintendo is planning to make a second version of the Wii and call it the Dwii.My father told me that the controllers might be gloves you have to put on so you can really move and it will have certain buttons on it......If it is true I hope they are not going to call it the Dwii....

The newest console would probably not look like the wii or another version of wii. There was no second version of gamecube. So im assuming there would be a different looking console with a different size cd for the game.
