Don't you idiots realise what Halo is? 1. IT'S A VIDEO GAME. Stop treating it like something revolutionary. If it is a pioneer in any area, I can understand. This game--if you can give something like this that name--is simply idiotic.2. IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME AS EVERY FPS. You play a guy. There are guns and occasionally melee weapons. What the hell is originality with that? The story? Aliens. Goddamned near every alien story can work. That's why it's so easy to use. You want a story, melee weapons, and guns, that isn't overhyped? Try XIII.I'll be damned if 99+% of video games are not fun to play. Don't use that as an argument.Goldeneye was actually revolutionary. It did things others didn't. Halo didn't do anything.Wait.I can't say that; it took overhype, fanboyism, and mediocre gaming to to a new level, along with bringing a revolutionary approach to making something seem better than it is due to sheer blindness to anything else. It gave dedication to that which doesn't matter. It brought video gaming addiction to a whole new level. It brought egos abound.And God damn you, if you can't see, interpret, and understand all sides of an argument, don't enter it.And half of you dirtbags won't even read this message; the half that does won't even consider it.Get off of your overrated XBoxes and do some Math; they wonder why the human mind is becoming less able to do anything worthwhile.

Many games exist that are much better than Halo. Anyone play any of them before overrating this garbage? I doubt it.Control scheme. On the majority of FPS games, the controls are mappable. You can do what you want with them. Therefore, this game has no right to be called revolutionary in this area. On any platform with two analog sticks, FPS controls work. Timesplitters. XIII. Like... anything else. They either work from default or can be mapped.Plot. First of all, I must say that no matter how deep a plot can be, it can suck. Especially in a game. If I have to watch cutscenes to know the plot, I don't care about it. Or, developers use a crappy, overused plot. That's the case here. Colonization of foreign planets. Aliens attacking the humans. Represented through scripted events and cut-scenes. If a game needs cut-scenes to be seen as good, then it's not a good game. Frequently, I skip through cut-scenes because the main purpose of a game is to provide fun, not to read a book to me. If I want a good plot, I read a book. A good one.No bots in multiplayer. Extra fun.The AI is mediocre. Ooh, they take cover! Exciting! Or, expected. We had this since Goldeneye.Two weapons at a time. Two. That does not implement "strategy... when using and selecting firearms"; that implements a desire to carry more, like other games. Each one has a melee function? Whoop. Oh, wait, that's the whole point of shooting. XIII has melee so as to not alert nearby enemies. And what's with the selection? Pistol. Rifle. Shotgun. Sniper. RL. Mediocre. We have plasma in Timesplitters. We can use strategy while holding all of the available weapons in the game. No one else realises that?Graphics. A game doesn't need flawless graphics to be considered great. You can have a 10MB hi-res 100x100 photo of feces, but does it mean that it's good? No. Old games are good because they didn't need overly excessive graphics. I don't want to zoom into a fåcking tree so that I can see the damned bark without it being blurry. I want to play a game. Gameplay matters. Maybe they were good. If I want beauty, I stay the hell away from video games and try nature.Gameplay. It's a FPS with vehicles. And physics that resemble reality. Nothing new.
