Just curious if anyone who owns a wavebird ever still plays with their standard controller? I dont mis the rumble on the wavebird and havent touched a standard controller since I picked one up.

If it weren't for the rumbling, I would have missed on of the three effigies that you need to get the best weapon in Eternal Darkness.Sure, Wavebird is less of a hassle as it doesn't have any cords. Until you have to change batteries in it.

Batteries? <_< Wavebird is much better than a standard controller. It lets you play while making breakfast.

I just got a controller for my pc that came without rumble and tried to play with it, it felt wrong, the gamecube must be the same. the rumble now is an improtant part of most games. Sure you can walk round the house, but you cant see the screen from other rooms

The Wavebird is a lot better than the standard controller because you don't have to deal with those blasted wires!

I don't really like Rumble much, and usually I keep yanking the cord by accident, so its Wavebird all the way! you should've made a poll.

I love wavebird. I never need rumble and it's great not having to worry about cords getting tangled. I don't think I'll ever go back. If I do, and the only reason would be if I had to use rumble for a game, I would only get 1 standard so I still wouldn't have to worry about cords getting tangled up.

The wavebird is very nice when you want to lay down. But sometimes I hate when its about to go out of batteries and the direction you want to go keeps skipping, and blanking in and out.

If you ask me the Wavebird is a waste of money. I would rather have a standard controller

No need for cords here...My Gamecube has been dropped a few times because of cords and stupid people trying to walk through them...Now my GC is picky as to when it wants to load thr game or not...

Once I bought a Wavebird I never went back to a standard controller. I also bought a handy rechargable battery pack that takes the place of the batteries. The pack holds a charge for a long time, I've gone a number of days heavy playing with no need to charge.Though usually I'll stick the charging cord on when I'm not using the controllers so I always have it "fresh" and ready to go.

Seems to be mixed in this topic. I seem to use my standard controller more mainly for the fact that I hate buying batteries for the Wavebird, waste of money and they'll just get nicked from the wavebird anyhow. I don't mind not having a rumble feature, I really don't notice.

i find that the wave bird is best for the dorm..because i can sit on my bed and since the tv and system are kinda far from it...i dont have to worry about people tripping over the cord and unplugging my controller..

Ib can hardly stand a regular controller now... and the rumble tweaks with me at first when I play with one... I find the added weight of the batteries nice... it makes the controller a little more... manageable I guess.I also enjoy the lack of cords... now if only we could make it powered without batteries or a cord... or rechargable.

I absolutely love my WaveBird, don't miss the rumble a bit. The only time I'll use a standard controller is if one of my friends is using my WaveBird.

I never owned a WB, but used a friend's a few times. I dont even know why he has them, the room he plays in is so small, and it is not like he move when he play, just sits on the fouton (spelling?). I use the rumbling, corded controllers, and they work fine for me in my room. <quote> Wavebird is much better than a standard controller. It lets you play while making breakfast. </quote> Uhhhhh, not not really, it still takes two hands to play, at least one hand to cook ^_^ do u have three hands?????? And as for the cords "getting in the way", just be a little more organized, maybe wrap up the controllers when you are done playing, huh? And corded controllers dont need batteries like the WB. And if I'm not sure exactly where I set down my controller, I just follow the cord. My friend who owns the WB's once went to the bathroom while we were playing a game, came back and looked all over for the WB. turns out he left it in the Bathroom :-D
