Was Eragon the movie as great as the book? In my case, NO!!! THE MOVIE SUCKED!!! The guy had highlights in the old days, which doesn't make any sense....i just didn't like the movie, book was sooo much better. So what are you thoughts? Did u like the movie more than the book? or vice-versa?

The movie was terrible... in a gouge your eyes out with a hot object kind of way. The book was miles better.

I was kind of disappointed when I saw the movie. It didn't include all the various characters and moments that the book had. I was satisfied by the actors playing the characters though. I was disappointed that it didn't have the talking cat who's name I cant remember at the moment.

The movie was HORRID! I was so dissapointed after I watched the film but I guess all films are like that if they were books before. =[ The Eragon film was just too short and rushed.

the book was bad; the movie was worse. poor chris.er, i only really liked the books because you could tell that paolini's writing style was changing and maturing from chapter to chapter, and that's rare to see and appreciate anymore.

I loved the books the books were filled with so much more than the movie. They did change the movie up I think a little bit to completely to where I dont think they could ever make a sequel. I will admit it was a good movie and even though it was shortened and revised it managed very weakly to capture the main idea of the book.

books > Movies. Very very much.Yeah, the movie pretty much sucked. There was quite a bit of pretty bad acting. AND they skipped so much stuff.Like in HP5. But I won't go into that.

I wanted to spew on the movie that's how bad it was compared to the book >_< Why don't people go learn what it takes to make a good book-to-movie adaptation before they do it? it saves a whole lot of crappy ness in the end

I enjoyed both, the fact that Eragon was made into a movie was good enough for me

I agree. The movie wasn't as good as the actual novel. The graphics & special effects were decent enough (especially the bit where the dragon whose name I can't recall toasted the entire village), although in terms of characterisation it was pretty bad. And I don't know if this is true, but are they going to come out with a sequel? I sure hope it doesn't suck like the 1st.

The movie was good, but compared to the book, a readers nightmare.first of all, a book half the size (or something like that) of the whole LotR story getting movie time less than half the movie time a THIRD of LotR got spells disaster all by itself.Second of all, so many plot contradiction and shortcuts, even non readers sense things going too fast is another disaster by itself.Still Awesome movie, would've been epic without all the plotholes, contradictions and shortcuts. We wanted to see Sapphira GROW UP!!! :D
