When I was younger I was allowed to play everyday, only for half an hour at a time and I always had to ask first. If I did something wrong like having a messy bedroom or bringing home bad grades then I would be banned for a few days. I never really did much on the computer anyway when I was younger. And we didn't get the internet until I was 16 or so and by then I was pretty much allowed to do what I wanted as long as long as I kept up with good grades

Back before I became Independant I was not allowed to even touch the computer unless it was school related, now my siblings are on youtube, myspace, and gaia all they want. I feel kind of ripped off.

I have my own computer now so I don't really need "permission" to use it.

Same here but when I didn't have a PC of my own I didn't need to ask I just got on it.

Yeah, but instead of play games, I usually check my emails, go on forum posting runs, and do some homework (if applicable.) I play computer games on weekends usually, I don't have much time.

Seeing as how I don't live with my parents, and pay for my rent, electricity, and internet usage, I can pretty much play whenever I want provided I work enough to keep those three things paid for.

My parents are pretty much against me even using the computer. With all the uneducated anti-gaming propaganda being shown on the news, my mother somehow believes that I will die if I put the computer in the privacy of my own room. My sister even thinks that I'll become some sort of mass murderer. Not that they can do anything about it though, without the computer, I have pretty much nothing else to do, and they know that they would never hear the end of it if they took it away from me.

If I had a computer at home, yes my parents would let me on at all times. Right now I have to use school and library computers though. Provided that I got done with all my studies and didn't neglect my chores, I can play all I want!
