Metriod has been around the nintendo universe for many years They have had 2D versions (mainly SNES or gameboy consoles ) and the 3D versions (mainly gamecube And next Wii) I personally like the 2D version because of the Pure Classic In it.

I prefer the 2D Metroid games. I think something was lost in the jump from 2D to 3D.And I still think Super Metroid is the greatest of the Metroid games. That game was huge.

I personally prefer 2D, but I WILL admit that Metroid has done a tremendous job of making that 2D-3D jump. There was no stumbling, being able to benift off the advances both Mario and Link created before it. It felt so... very, very natural, which is important for this so of genre.

I really like the 3d Metroid. I think it manages to capture the same feel as the 2d and offers so much more in terms of gameplay

YEa that was the bomb....I still havent beat it...gotten stuck somehwere then lost it. NOW....I guess emulaters will help...but in time when i feel like Getting it again.I prefer the 2D Metroid games. 2d, hands down, is my personal favorite... BUT the 3d is fun and as they continue changing games over from 2 to 3d i think we will see vast improvements.

2d metroid games are fun. I havent tried any 3d games except for the metroid prime hunters demo though.

2D, without a doubt. While the 3D Metroid Games are good, they lack one critical element that made Metroid fun in my eyes; speed. From the start of almost any 2D Metroid game your bouncing from platform to platform doing spin jumps just showing the world that your arial prowness puts thier obstacles to shame, running around as a fast engine of alien destruction. Conversely in the 3D games your slow walking instead of running, and you never do any fast jumps, just slow hops from platform to platform...

The 2D Metroids for sure. Not taking anything away from the Prime series, but nothing has yet to top Super Metroid imo.

I like the 2d versions, like Super Metroid and the remake they made of it (fusions) for gba.If they made a 3d version of metroid, but third person, like those, then it might interrest me a little more, I am not into futuristic first person shooter type games

3d metroid is amazing, the one in the ds is amazing, best graphics game on ds, the best oe i think would b da 1 on the wii

2D metroid is great, but the posibility of explore the world 3D is the best, but i don't like so much the first person game, y like more 3D when the presentation is like Zelda (N64 y NGC), not the Turok (N64) kind

i liked all the 2d metroid games a lot. although the 3d gamecube one was very pretty and well designed.
