That definitely depends on the game. I personally prefer the games that allow you to start over with the same character so you can continue to level up. but otherwise I would just play through a few more games before I start a game over again.

Castlevania - All of them made so far and when I finally figure out how to wip them......... I get in the habit of playing them over and over. I kinda rotate through them. The same music and sound effects from the drives my wife nuts at times. I can get so frustrated at times in the Zelda games when I go back to them what to do next or where to go. In the Mario realm the DS just doesn't control right for me to do the stuff you need to do to beat the game. I need to be in the old game cube or earlier platforms to beat Mario games, but addicting Mario was and still can be. I've had many late night adventures with Mario and a little cussing and swearing.

For DSi, I haven't seriously replayed a game yet. I might go back on a save and 'relive' a level I enjoy, but that's about it.

Usually only once or twice. However on some games when you have several characters to choose from I will play enough times to decide witch one i like and play again with that one.

usually, when i beet a game, I eather replay it on a higher difficulty (like proud from regular in KH:358/2) or i go through and unlock everything i dont have. Although the games like Mario Kart, well thats fun to play over and over with your friends. And meteroid prime hunters, especally when your the only one with the game ;)

Depends on whether it has good replay value. If it does, maybe once or twice more through... normally not, though.

I mostly play games where you can change your characters so I try to play the game with all the characters reaching the final chapter / final boss. I think it depends on the replay value of the game as well, like Pokemon have endless variations of Pokemons you can use.

I don't tend to re-play a video game unless it is a really good game that I enjoyed a lot the first time through. Or if it has the option for different endings, in which case I would try to get them all.
