I only replay games after I have beaten it if I have not 100% cleared it or if it has ranks for levels such as in Sonic Rush I replay the stages trying to get all the gold ranks for each stage.

It absolutly depends of the interest. To me strategy games keep interest for long time and many session.Adventures are oftenly one play games.Multiplayers games keep long interest by proposing new challenge with each new player.

I usually play a game twice when the game enables you to choose from the two genders and when I'm not satisfied about the results of my first trial in the game. I also play it again when I forgot its story or when the game is interesting and fun to play at.

Only sometimes do I repeat a game over and over, but the reasons vary among different games.Games like Pokemon Blue, I usually replay it for old time's sake.Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is a game I play over and over to perfect my character setups and complete all quests. The Metal Gear Solid series are probably the games I replayed the most in my life, but since it isn't a handheld, I won't go too far into explaining that.

Well, all good games still work well the second time around, right? Fire Emblem, Ninja Gaiden, Pokemon Firered, and Zelda all did that for me.

Probably as a few have already said, it all depends on the game. Let's take Mario Kart for example. Unlocked all the courses, all the cars, and there is nothing I could really do. Still, after so long, I still find myself on those tracks over and over again. When you got a game like that, I'll play it over again. As far as adventure-ish games... games of Mario, Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil... I could play those over and over again.

yeah it does depend on the game, Like Fire Emblem for mee I had to play twice so i could unlock the hidden characters in the secret levels and Pokemon just to choose a different starter and see a different challenge. So for me it does depend if the game has re playability.

Ive realized - 1: if its by Atlus, replaying is a must2: Castlevania is just hardcore and you must replay it (ive replayed Lament of Darkness so many times, with all chars)3: I've played this over 500x ... no exaggeration, MegamanX 1-3 rocks (story & gameplay).4: Games like God of War - god mode (oh how i hated dying in 3 hits at beginning, i wanted to shoot myself)5: Godly FPS games... for like a week or couple months : Halo (when it first game out, now its just "eh")CoD 4 Modern Warfare (best one out, and still is)And last - fighting games ~1: Smash Bros (any version) - oh god, no need to say anymore2: Super Punch Out!! - a billion times over played... and finally the fun died3: Super Double Dragon - the memories of dying in the pits, the flying knives, and dying stupidly from team pk when it was turned on... it never dies.4: King of Dragons - hack n slash, hop around, avoid green blobs, chop chop in mid air, cleric block hacks... one of the best SNES games made.

I'm still playing Elite Beat Agents! I've already 100% the game, but its a fun game to pick up and play whenever I'm bored and need to kill 10 or so minutes.

Most games once or twice. For Pokemon games more often, sad to say.
