it isnt really dangerous as long as you have the strap around your wrist, otherwise you might not have a TV by the end of the day.

Well, people have to learn that the wrist strap is not there to hold the wiimote for them, it is there to keep the wiimote from falling if you accidentally drop it...I have never even needed to use the wrist strap (only in a certain microgame in wario ware, but this microgame actually asks you to drop the wiimote), because I actually hold the wiimote with my hand.

Hey it happens, but isn't that what the straps on the controlers are for?

When my friend and I were playing wii sports, my friend smashed his finger against the table and it was swollen. At least the wiimote didn't break :D But still, it is dangerous. I suggest playing in an open place with 5 feet distance from everything. (Except the ground of course.)

Your roomate in college comes in telling you to turn off the wii and *whack* "911 I hit me pal with the wii-mote and he's unconcious" "again?!! this is the 10th time tonight!!"

First of all, on every wii game there is always a warning message that says to securely fasten the wrists strap. And since the wrist straps have been strengthened, it's pretty hard to break things with your wiimote unless you're stupid enough to not put it on or somehow still hit things with the controller.

No, they're not inherently dangerous but people find ways to somehow make them dangerous by not wearing the straps and such

I dont find the Wii dangerous at all in any way. Yes you should take a break if your kinda unfit. But apart from that its all good I dont see any "danger" Its just freak accidents really. People who will sit and criticise it for this are just being complete tards. Look at how revolutionary that system is. Maybe its just jealousy though hmm I dunno.

The Wii is about as dangerous as a fluffy thing, but harder. If you lob it through your TV it is YOUR fault. Mine still has the old wrist strap, and it works fine, and I still haven't had it snap after a year and a half of hectic movement on WarioWare and Others.

i have heard all the stories and most of the accidents were caused because ppl didnt use the strap, got too excited or threw their remote at the tv

There are a lot of accidents with wii-motes being thrown around, but It's the person's fault who gets overly excited and throws it...>.> So Wiis aren't dangerous at all. :)

Wii's are only dangerous if the user neglects to respect the safety instructions included with the purchase of every game. Besides that, safety precautions are given at the start of every game. So they're really only as dangerous as the user makes them.

Sorry man but if you break your TV playing your Wii then u don't deserve the TV. The truth hurts doesn't it. (Sorry to anyone who broke your TV... get some brain cells with the money instead of a new TV though)
