I don't think money can buy happiness. Sure it can buy comfort and leisure but at the end of the day can someone explain to me why celebrities kill themselves. They should be the happiest people in the world!

This is probably like the hardest question in human historyit depends on the way you think, money can buy happiness for the wants at the same time can destroy livesvise versa, when people have just enough money and it's satisfied, they won't want more and there happiness will continuebut they might not be as happy as the rich folkthis is all personal thoughts, no offense what so ever

Yes, money can make you happy, but not fully. It can make you happy untill a certain point. You can't buy true friends or family.Don't forget that some really valuable things are free. The air you breath, the sun that shines upon you. Just to name some stuff.

I would say that yes it has the potential to buy happiness, although naturally this will differ from person to person. I do not in anyway believe it is the only way to gain happiness. Although I personally am able to gain happiness through the use of money. For instance I quite enjoy reading political books, so buying a new political books is sure to gain me some happiness.

Let's say you're unhappy because you've lost your job, house, car, and well, everything. I'm sure getting enough money to move into a decent place and get three meals a day would make you rather happy. So yeah, money can buy happiness. And just think about Christmas. Children get toys they want and they've got momentary happiness.

not happiness. the term happiness, in my belief and perception, means enlightenment.money can help one to feel happy but it cannot buy happiness...money can't buy true friends, it can't buy real love and it certainly can't buy moral lessons...It can only buy earthly pleasures. Money may be the root of all evil...But it is also what we need to sustain ourselves..to buy our needs like food and clothes. It's by proper use and management and discipline that we can make money a way to bring us closer to being a better person.Like taking care of ourselves physically with money will have us be able to improve ourselves mentally. And after we come to a higher level, we could learn how to be morally and spiritually strong

money can buy temporary happiness and there are always lots of complications when it comes to money. perfect examples would be the celebrities. some of them actually have mental issues.

No, money cannot buy happiness, because when you accumulate multitudes of cash, you begin taking things for granted. You then begin to lose the ability to think about the true value of all the things in the world. You will only buy your way into everything you lay your hands on. The only possible way money can bring happiness is if it came out of hard work, sweat, blood, and tears. Even then, that happiness is not guaranteed. Having a lot of money was never a problem... it's just the way you use it that can make you happy or not. The word "happiness" for some can be superficial.

Hmm... I think that money can be used to buy things that can in turn provide you with happiness, but its what you choose to define happiness as. You can define it as a temporary feeling of satisfaction, a euphoric state that addicts feel when they get what they "need", feeling "good" about yourself in general, etc. the possibilities are endless. However, I believe that happiness is containing the ability to never worry because you know what your eventual future is and have come to grips with it. So no, money cannot buy happiness, at least for me.

Well, it sure can buy happiness, but it wont last. And people who are used to such happiness, often find life not-so-happy...There are lots of disadvantages when someone buys their way for being happy.

I would say that money can't directly buy happiness, just things that can cause happiness, temporarily of course. But if you think about it, aren't most cases of happiness fleeting? Even though money can only get you a few moments of satisfaction, most of our happy moments are like that too. It's strange, that something technically worthless like money can get our hopes up, but I guess it's not that bad of a thing to believe that money can actually buy happiness.

I person can obtain happiness out of the mere acknowledgment of being alive. Not everyone obtains happiness out of the very same things. So I would say yes, it most certainly can.

I think, honestly, money can sometime buy happiness. What i mean by this is it depends on the person. if someone who has experienced a life with litle money and can appreciate its value becomes wealthy i think it can buy them happiness because they have allready learned to appreciate the other aspects of life. whatever lol

I would say it can buy happiness indirectly. As it could buy stuff like a Xbox which would in turn give you happiness.

Money can buy whatever you want which can make you happy; but you can't buy happiness without buying the stuff to make you happy.

It absolutely can not. Money just causes you to be surrounded by disgusting people that only speak to you for what you have. It brings out the most filthy qualities in most people.
