My view is that while money alone will never bring someone TRUE happiness money can be a route to true happiness. For example while a very large amount of money alone wouldnt make someone happy (At least not for me!) that money could be used to fund a search for your own personal happiness! So to sum my answer up without wasting your time: Yes money CAN buy happiness. You just need to know what makes YOU happy!

Happiness is a feeling. Therefore I think of it in this way. If you buy an item than it is the item that can give you temporary happiness. Saying that money can buy you happiness doesn't make sense. Do you go to a store and buy happiness from the shelf? I didn't think so.

No money can't buy happiness....but it can buy lots of distractions to take attention away from how sad your life really is.

It is undeniable that you cannot live without either of them. But the happiness that is brought by money is entirely different from the one gained by having those you love around you. Can it bring happiness? Definitely. but can it fulfill you? Absolutely not. ...well under certain conditions...

Well, it can, but it won't be true happiness, and that's what I rather would have.

Happiness is running away with a twelve year old boy in a non-extradition country.

Of course you can NOT buy happiness! Only just for a moment or awhile. What happiness really is (in my opinion) is the people and the times you share with friends and families :D

Is the cat in the box alive or dead?

If you open the box, you will know the answer.

You will know the truth.

However, until you open the box, you can claim that the cat is alive, and you can also claim it is dead.

No, happiness is from the heart, and sincerity you share with the person.. If you're hoping to buy happiness with cold hard cash.. there is no possibility that it will make anyone happy..as i stated. Happiness comes from the heart. If anybody thinks happiness can be bought. Then how did the cavemen(s) live in happiness without cash?? o.OJust sharing my point of view. Hope nobody gets pissed off about this..

Oh sure it can. You can get anything you want including stuff, friends, relationships. Girls don't like poor people so you better have some money.

To an extent, yes. YOu can use money to live comfortably, eat, etc. However, the other half relies on you findign stuff that makes yo uhappy, whether it be friends, family, etc. After all, being a rich jerk will probably leave you lonely.

it cant buy complete happiness since u cant have everything like real friends that like you for who you r, but i think it can buy a lot of happiness such as material possesions that you want like a new DS to replace that old broken one sitting in the graveyard TT_TT.

Money can't buy happiness, but poverty comes with uncertainties and insecurities that hurts a person's happiness. So money can help satisfy help life. There's a thing called Happiness Economics, google it. I think there's an interesting book on it.

No it's just temporal pleasure. It may seem like happiness but it is not true happiness and will not fullfill you. "It will be happiness when you stop seeking after things."

Yes and no. It all depends on what you spend money on. If you spend money on experiences with yourself and others, it is positive, and very healthy for you! But if you waste it solely on objects, like computers, televisions, cars, video games, then of course you're not going to be happy. for a long time. An object can never be as entertaining as another human mind. Now then, if we're talking about hoarding money, then yes. I absolutely believe it can sustain happiness because the money is growing.

I think money can bring momentary satisfaction but not necessarily happiness per se. That said, i think happniess is a really vague term and is very relative from person to person. Some find happiness and contentment in those brief moments of carnal pleasure while others find it in long lasting relationships, others find it from candy (ie children) while others find it from experiences such as vacations or even the drunken stupor of a frat party. Others find it in their high / addictions whether that be drugs or video games or even the research and discovery of something unknown. Anywayz happiness in the eye of the beholder imo and money can be a way to facilitate the acquisition of happiness in whatever form it may be but it cannot directly bring about happiness in general.
