Only if you're greedy enough, then yes, money will buy happiness.

lol, I used to think that true happiness cannot be bought by money, but after some stuff, I realised without money, I cannot be happy at all.

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it would be hard to have happiness without it. You need it for the most basic of necessities.

Money can buy happiness in items, but money cannot buy the love and trust of others. You need money to live, but money doesn't determine your emotions.

I agree money can only buy so much, but it really cant buy complete happiness. Sure it makes life more enjoyable and thats good, but it cant buy true friends and family. Money gives people temporary relief of stress and it also gives temporary happiness to be able to buy things but those feelings start declining as soon as you see the money fading away so yea its not true happiness.

money cant buy happiness, but money can buy a way to get to a place to go to have more fun, a way to communicate with your friends.Money does not buy happiness, but a small amount makes it much better

money buys you the products/services that would eventually lead to your happiness.it's not a direct link and in argument, the middle part [product/services] is the one that gives the end user happiness.but we musn't forget, that the best things in life are for free. >.<

I think that just depends on what really makes you happy, if living in a mansion with 10 cars makes you happy, then sure i guess money can buy happiness

Does money buy happiness? Well what I've found out is that poverty doesn't buy happiness.

No matter how materialistic you are money isn't going to bring you long lasting happiness. Objects satisfy the short-term happiness, people satisfy the long-term happiness.

I'll go as far as saying money can make you happy. It gives you wonderful things and moments .But it wont ever bring you full, forever lasting happiness.

I think this is a question where the answer has two sides of it. On one side, money can't buy happiness, because happiness can't be bought. It can give you the means to purchase a chaste happiness that fades quickly. On the other side, money can but happiness in terms or a roof over you head and food on you table, which are means to happiness. Of course, these are my own thoughts about it, I'm happy to see so many different thoughts about it and would be interested in seeing more^^

It depends. Like if you need the money for someones health or something. But money will only keep someone happy for a short time.

i dont think money can buy happiness. but it certainly does make life easier if you don't have to worry about money. Less stress could lead to more happiness.

I don't believe it can. It can help pave the way for happiness, but if someone is trying to buy happiness, they're just going to keep buying things to try and keep themselves happy. For me, true happiness is being content with the things you have and not constantly looking for the next best thing. Sure you can keep buying things, but if you're not already happy, then whatever you buy won't truly make you happy either.

Money can't buy happiness. What money buys, however, might bring happiness. If I use the money to buy a dog, I may become happy because I love the dog, and I've gained a friend; alternatively, I might spend the money on alcohol, toys, games, strippers, etc., and end up completely miserable. None of those things could truly make me happy, because I didn't love or care for them. I might crave, desire, or lust for them, but I don't care about them. I might be happy when I drink alcohol with a friend, but that would be because I care about my friend.

Despite many people like us are desperate to have money (or to get rich), we realize that there are many things that can't really gain happiness from money. Like love for our family and friends for example.
