I beg to differ...Listen to any live version of Stairway to Heaven and Since I've been loving you.Fantastic.right now I'm lovin Trey Anastasio (with Phish and first solo album)Page is an amazing studio guitarist but ok liveHave every hendrix live album/Dvd. tears it upJimmy Herring (currently Widespread Panic) is absolutely amazing.

Umm... I was gonna say Jimi Hendrix, but he is clearly the GUITAR GOD!!! But, next in line would be Eric Clapton or Santana. Chuck Berry and BB King should also fit in there...

That's really hard to answer.Apart from Hendrix and Jimmy Page who were Gods, there's um...Well Jason Becker really was awesome. But I guess that for guitarrist nowadays I'll go with Steve Vai. He's just an emotion freak i love him
