I love AoE2 becauce there are so many ways to smash your opponents to tiny bits or pieces or make them nonexistant.My favorite strategy is to create around 50 trebuches abd about 20 knights and use them in force on an enemy to obliterate them in seconds.

AOM:Titans is the best coz it has cool mythical units such as Hydra.

agreed, AOE3 really is an embarrassment to the AOE name, completely one dimensional gaming with overpowered countries and tbh, the whole idea of home cities and upgrading them is woeful (though some people might like it)

age of empire 2 was the best, sadly, the butchered it with AOE 3 imo, AoM isnt that bad though, i didnt like the expansion much

I've played all three of those, and I can say that the Age series of games is one of the most revolutionary around. The Age games showed us what it was like to be in ancient times, and to live the drama and the politics of those days. Rise of Nations is another smashing RPG developed by Microsoft, which also pushes the boundaries of "evolution" style RTS games, and gives each of the 10+ nations their own special abilities, like building Versailles for the French gives Supply Wagons the power to heal twice as much.

The original Age of Empires and Age of Mythology were the best..AOE2 and AOE3 kinda boring storylines.

Age II and III are all about microring and economy. Age I is all about macroing and military. So far, Age II or III could be my favourite ones, but I haven't had much xp with Age III since I don't own it.

My friend got me addicted to Age of Mythology a while back. Then he asked for it back, and I cried (just a little). For the longest time I couldn't find it anywhere, since it's not exactly new. Then one time I was at EBGames with my friends and I had complained (okay, screamed) that I couldn't find that game anywhere. I turned around and there it was, WITH the expansion pack, used and 20$. Yay! So the lesson is kids, complain more often, you'll always get what you want.

i LOVED these games..reminded me of starcraft, but i think these were better because of God power? (not sure if this is what it was called)

he only one I played for the Age series was AoE 2.The AI seemed kind of dumb in comparison to AoE 3 though. Don't know if it's just me or what.But I think Rise of Nations was definitely a more classic game.

I loved AoT, but it was so hard to learn... Too many strats and merc laming. (Cough cough Pepino! It means you! 
) Much easier to move up ranks in AoE.

I think That AOM is the best, It doesnt require much memory, and It's story is super cool and also the people and the sound and...EVERITHING.

hmmm. well, i can kill up to three hours with that, yeah. but no more: either i get bored of losing, or i win. but when i win, i can't realy start a new game without getting bored after 3 minutes *sigh*

haha u spelt mythology wrongly =)played aoe 2 and aom before but not aoe 1its all quite funand the computer players are really challenging

Age of empires ..... sometimes I say it age of papaya ! Why? you should be know about this!Sometimes ,I use all my soldier try to defeat the enemy.... and I lost! Why?------> 3 player combined to defeat me ...... all my soldier unable turn back ! I lost all my unit ! Like when you want to eat a papaya , you need clear all the papaya seed . Like this ! Just one step kill and I lost all ........no.............. ! Age of empires III ......the age of papaya !

I think that AOM is better, because there are cooler cheats, enchanced graphics, and lots of levels. The only bad thing is that there are only FOUR (I think) civilizations. not enough for me
