the soul caliber games are so much better than Mk. In fact I cant think of any fighting series which is better...

I dont like both of them...but if I have to choose between this two..probably MK..its also like a childhood friend of mine LOL..I've played it when I was still in grade school...didnt excel in this game LOL haha..I do like MK movie's

Mortal kobat owns all fighting games. i mean the whole fatality and babality and friendship finishers are both awesome and funny. Definately Mortal Kombat Hands down.

definitely SOUL CALIBUR, the cool thing bout this game is u can use weapons, and the fighting is so awesome. not saying that tekken is lame, but i d prefer soul calibur..

Mortal combat is for the button mashing maniacs who like excessive amounts of gore and blood, but only the original ones are any good. SoulCaliber is for those with a refined amount of buttion mashing skill who like to think when fighting

Definitely Soul Caliber. It's a little more of a button masher, but I like the characters a lot better.

SC is much more better than MK, MK is funny but its gameplay is bad compared to SC!

Gotta go with Soul Calibur. As you said the weapons system really makes it a lot better than Mortal Kombat.

Soul Calibur is better just because of the variation in weapons as compared to 3 fighting styles in Mortal Kombat. More weapons means better adaptation to whatever battle you may come up against.

maybe soul calibur is best in all of the fighting games but i really like all of them.
