Fierce Diety Link (Oni Link) is erm... A mix between good and evil I guess. Fierce Diety was a demi-god that was turned into a mask because he nearly destroyed Termina (Like Majora) And when Link put him on.. I guess the good and evil combined... Oh whatever.Hyrule was sunken after the Gods sunk it. Ganon invaded, and the Gods sunk it to the bottom of the ocean.I vote for the ancient demon idea though.Have you ever tried fighting Dark Link with a sword and shield, not the Megaton? And Dark Link was an incarnation of Link's evil side, created by Ganon. So I guess he just died. Or maybe he retreated and came back later in AoL. =]

I loved ocarina of time. The dark link boss freaked me out. I was just walking through this misty area and what I thought was a shadow came charging towards me. That was a really memorable boss, like many of the bosses in OOT. Why can't zelda be like that now?

What awesome ideas! But what if Dark Link found the Fierce Diety mask...oh, that would be so scary/sick! He would be like the Fierce Diety reborn or something. Also, him having his own temple would be cool, although the way it was described it seemed more like a final fight...anyway, if he does come back in GCN Zelda (Please, please...) then he has to be the main, or it's not even worth it.I thought he looked pretty good in WW. Nice and evil, but in a "realistic" cartoony way...like in the classic animated series.BTW, fighting DL without the hammer is cool, cuz he dodges like he's in the Matrix or something (why can't we do that stuff, jumping on top of enemy weapons and stuff?)

Yeah, DL was the ill dodger. He kinda scared me in OOT though, his face. Little weird. But then again, so did the ridiculously busty Great Fairies, who also had creepy faces.

dark link has a main boss sounds cool, it could start out like you think gannon is hte evil but when you fight him like halfway trough the game dark lnk comes out of nowhere and kills him and takes over gannon's job, ya know, takeing over the world and stuff

sorry this a bit off topic but Gates of the Realm has been disproved as a rumor for the official title of the upcoming Zelda game. Sorry if someone mentioned this already but I don't recall anyone saying anything..DL was tough, man. He countered everything we tried, except the hammer. He should definitely be the new boss in Gates of Realm, IMO. The whole feel of the game is darker anyway, he'd blend right in as the one who made it so bad. Oh, and the whole land is against him because DL fooled everyone into thinking their hero had gone bad. He's like a fugitive in a war.

the fight against dark link was one the most awesome i ever had in an game.i never tried to hit him with the megaton hammer lol,always beaten him with the charged sword attack.

dark link was just an irritating shadow wich i spend a few hours atacking with a blade before he died......not much of a fun enemy.

Special setting? Where was that one?Anyway, Dark link was fun just because of sword fighting someone else. I'd like to see him again. All the bosses always seem to have some special weakness. I want to have a real swordfight in the game against a guy with good ai, and no "easy" way to defeat them. Better yet, slightly easier AI and a whole lot of Dark Links.BATTLE ROYALE!!!

So... where did DL come from in the first place? I mean the guy just poped up out of nowhere. I think he said something too, like defeat yourself, or somethin like that, so does that mean Link can talk as well?

lol u guys used the easy way out by using dins fire and the hammer i used the biggorois sword and i just used the low stab attack which never mised since it went under his shield

That would be pretty cool if they brought back Dark Link. Even though I did beat the crap out of him, I'm sure they can find a follow up story that brings him back to life. Or they could have Link turn into Dark Link....but that would be too much like the Jak series. I don't know, but Dark Link was awesome.--Tai

Dark Link in OoT wasn't so hard for me as it was tedious, like i just couldt get decent shots it..but Dark Link from "adventure of Link" was a pain in the donkey...as for possible theories of using Dark link in the new Zelda game..this is just a crazy idea that just popped into my mind...what if you started out having to fight him, but somehow a greater evil came about and Link and Dark Link teamed up..and you imagine a fight with those two and some crazy huge boss...i think that could be quite cool..
