They are both equally dangerous. A tornado could do incredible damage without any time to prepare and a hurricane does more damage over an area but u have more time to get away.

who comes up with these topics anyway? ok, umm, i think hurricane is more dangerous because it's from the water and air pressure, so it's two disaster in one basically. also a hurricane usually lasts longer and it's pathway is pretty much unpredictable.

Hurricane, with sustain winds that can last to one to three days, which can cover several counties at the same time. Plus if anything that is not nail down or secured it can easily be blown away. Though hurricanes can be predicted it impossible to determine the amount of damage or where the most damage will occur. As for tornado though unpredictable it only last for a few mins at most. Tornado is easily avoidable, (once you see it you can pretty much run from it). Tornado are know to occur and cause little or no damage and when they touch down. So my vote will be hurricane.

"A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path, he will then have to choose. The boy doesn't always know. At some point, the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness forever will accompany this. He is confronted with a choice. When this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy. The boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said. A boy has the right to dream. For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him. We must remember. All men were once boys."

A tornado does more damage than a hurricane does due to the unpredictability and its lighting fast appearances. Hurricanes are easily predicted and followed by storm chases, but a tornado can come out of even a minor thunderstorm. Hurricanes require a vast amount of energy, heat, and air pressure to form up and do much of anything, and, while they do more area of effect damage, a tornado is much more lethal as it sucks up objects and can hurl a toothpick through a brickwall (tested and proven.) Today, houses are made to withstand upto f3 tornadoes, but rarely do f4 and f5s ever hit, the last one was Oklahoma in 92.So, as per terms of destruction, there is a tie, since you will rarely have an f5 to compare to a category 5. If ever the time comes up where both hit at the same time, then well...were pretty much s.o.l. but till then, lets just live happy and free ^^.

Hurricanes, because tornados only hit areas where nobody cares about.

Well, I would think that a tornado would be worse. But, I live in "Eastpointe Michigan" and from what I hear, we are like, one of the least liable to get either. So, I don't truly know. I'm just speculating.

They get em really bad up there in Michigan if one spawns. Not too long ago, one hit South Haven.

I would say hurricane. At least for tornadoes, there's a way to avoid them. I saw a documentary of a couple holding on tightly to an underground pipe as the tornado went right through them.. and they survived!
