who comes up with these topics anyway? ok, umm, i think hurricane is more dangerous because it's from the water and air pressure, so it's two disaster in one basically. also a hurricane usually lasts longer and it's pathway is pretty much unpredictable

I think the answer to this question depends on whether or not the person you ask is standing in front of a hurricane or a tornado. The hurricane does more overall property damage but seems to be the one that is more survivable if one is faced with it.

a hurricane is worse because it brings deadly wind and sometimes floods a tornado you can run away from because it takes up a small area

A tornado is more concentrated while the hurricane is spread out. So tornado = more destructive and hurricane = more wide spread damage.

Tornado. Cause they are just scary, and they tear the freaking place up. Not to mention they suck you in.

that is a good queston. it is simply a matter of preference. a hurricane causes wide spread destruction, but usually much can be salvaged. and a few lives may be lost. but you have a far better chance to survive in the path of a hurricane than a tornado. hurracanes can destroy, Tornados WILL decimate anything it touches. if you are caught in a tornado then your chances of surviving are about 1 in 100. i would prefer a hurricane. then again i live in tornado valley, not on the coastline, so what do i know?

I think that a hurricane is more dangerous to the environment, but tornados are more dangerous to the population of the people.

A hurricane since it spreads all over. You won't have time to save your possessions.

I think a hurricane is worse because a tornado only lasts a short amount of time(I think) But hurricanes can destroy entire towns and lasts a prolonged amount of time. also hurricanes cover large areas while tornadoes just keep moving destroying a straight line

I'd say a hurricane since I think you can avoid tornadoes easier than hurricanes...
