1. How is that a problem?2. Would you classify the Sniper Rifle, the Rocket Launcher, the Grenades and their variants as short range weapons? 3. How does that justify hating Halo 2?

It couldve been much better. I liked the first one the best even though I'm better at the 2nd. Maybe halo 2 is too over-hyped for me or something...I don't know...

Halo 2 is just Halo 1 with some extra bells and wistlesand you can play as elites

i prefered the first one, halo 1 in my opinion totally beats halo 2... halo 2 had a lot to live up to and lots of expectations...bt it just didnt cut it for me... it was annoying that i seemed to b playin more alien than human levels... n tht ending... the result = controller thrown at screen in a late night rage at the xbox! thats just my opinion so dont hate me if u actually like that game.

by a wide open ending, if you look and listen to it all, theres about 8 more halos or something... they will kill the halo series if they dont finish it with halo 3, doing to many will b like the sims with all those expansions, they got boring so they had to get the sims 2 up and running, they knew they were losing the market, and i think halo will if theres anything more than a 3, possibly 4.

halo 2 is straight pimp statis. this is a great game. multiplayer topples all others. an to call every weapon "close range", just shows how much you really dont understand the game. so next time, before you post, know what ur talking about. btw: i do agree that halo 1 had a better campaign mode, but halo 2's is still awsome.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Human Sniper,Beam Rifle,Covanent Carbine,Battle Rifle,Rocket Launcher. Those are all long range weapons, Even the Magnum is long range.

Yeah... Halo 2 is a great game, you cant hate it for having only short range weapons when it has long range ones aswell

halo 2 wasn't really about campaign cuz once you beat it the 1st time it's not as fun but the multiplayer is where all there time went cuz look at what halo one did with the start of lan parties and stuff now don't say you hate shooters and expect to play a shooter and like it it just doesn't work that way

Amen ^^^Single player was great the first time, but once you see the ending, there really isnt much left to go see again. Xbox Live was their focus, and they nailed it. The ranked games are perfect because there is variety and it doesnt have a host who makes up all these funky rules just so they can win. Custom games let people change the rules to whatever they want and have at 'em. Thumbs up Bungie and Microsoft!!!

Halo 2 is just different. You can't expect games to always be the same. With the exception of Pokemon. Haha. But yeah, if you really think about it, you can use the sniper rifles and rockets (fuel rod and brute shot) as a long-range weapon.

im not gunna say halo 2 blows but i will admit that it was really overhyped and the single player did not meet up to the expectations the public had for it. Dodger up there is prolly right that they were just focusing this game more on multiplayer rather than single player. the "too many close range weapons" comment is sumthin i jus cant explain tho

I think that Halo 2 is the bomb dig-gity! Don't take that literally. And that reason for hating halo 2 was so weak it was almost spam. The only short range weapon is the Sword, and even that can be tricked out to be used from afar. Everything else can be used from half way across the field and can still hit if you have enough skill. Then you have the Sniping Rifles for both races... The only way you could use those at close range is with skill, otherwise, sit back, camp for a bit, and make a kill... from the other side of the battle field where they can't reach you.

Yeah, that is no reason to not like it because not all of the weapons are close range. One of my favourite weapons, the battle rifle is mid range, and so is the covenent carbine. Also, the rocket launcher has a mid range...or even long range because far away, some enemies dont bother to move at all so you can just aim and shoot with litle fear of em moving. also there is the beam rifle and the sniper rifle, both long range for snipers. you must not have gotten very far into the game because right on the first level on earth you can grab a sniper right away, and you start with a battle rifle as well, both ranged weapons. also, in the very first level of the game you can start with a battle rifle, also a ranged weapon.

No you are rong battle rifle is both both snipers carbine those are all considerd long range weapons.

I like Halo 2 bbetter but i dont like that they changed a ton of the weapons. Duel wielding is really sweet too
