Well, like everyone's saying, there ARE a lot of long range weapons. But I think he thinks they're all close range because he played the first level, which is fairly close quarters. There are a few of each range weapon (short, long, and mid); like the sword and shotgun for short range, the SMG, needler, and plasma rifle for mid range, and the snipers, carbine, and the brute shot for long range. (OK, so the brute shot takes some practice to be long range but...) Anyway, don't knock one of the best 1st person shooters out there unless you've played online in both coagulation and beaver creek.

A sniper rifle is long range.....so is a rocket launcher. if u fired a rocket at close range u would die, so its designed for LONG RANGE!!!!the problem is is htat all the wepons are close range

very few weapons are close range. sword, possibly shotgun, and melee are the only close combat options. the game is mainly about the shooting. besides, non-close range weapons are usually the easiest way to take care of a rampaging sword wielder. The only problem with Halo 2 was the ending, and even that wasn't too bad.

How could you not like Halo 2? - the only complaint I had was the story ended on too much of a cliffhanger (Halo 3 however neatly ties up all loose ends) and I missed the assualt rifle from the 1st. The multiplayer was awesome and the campaign was very compelling the phsyics modelling awesome and the vehicles cool. While I can understand people liking other games more I just really dont understand how a person who likes computer games cannot like any of the Halo games(1, 2 or 3)???????????????????

The game was mediocre. It has nothing unique or new, and it's extremely popular because the nation's 12 year olds decided to become gamers recently. I'm not saying it was a BAD game, but there's way better out there.

I agree with you halo 2 weapons close range isnt really far. I prefer the first halo it is more fun.the problem is is htat all the wepons are close range
