I didnt buy it on the exact day i waited to see if people liked it so about 2 weeks after launch i went and tried to get it and actually got 2

I went to buy a wii on launch day. Man it was cold then, I had waited since midnight of the day of camping right in front of best buy.

nah i bought it after i played my mates wiii got it 2nd hand off ebay early last year, it's in good condition just cheaper & came with 2 wii motes & another gameyay happy feet......jk unfortunately it doesn't really make me to happy playing it so i donti got brawl n mario kart + others

My sister got it on the first day it was available in my country. Funny story, she got a call from the shop clerk and rushed to the shop. On her way there, she saw another guy obviously trying to get a Wii too, and she knocked him down just so that she'd be the first.

I bought a wii around 6 months after it came out. It took awhile because it was during the christmas season so most of the stores had been sold out but we found one

There's sort of a funny story that goes along with how we got our Wii.The Wii came out on my dad's birthday. Since my dad likes to play video games, we were going to get it for him. Okay, so, they were having a contest I think so the Wii is free. Well, my mom went out when my dad was still sleeping, at like...4 in the morning, and called my friend's parents, who came over and dragged their kids and thier friends and thier kids over to the store for all of them to enter. Well, my friend's parent's friend's son won it, and we gave it to my dad for his birthday.

i really wanted 1 on launch day but by the time i went to put my name down for 1 they were sold out everywhere and they took ages to come back into stock. it was my mum that baught me my wii as a congratulations present for getting into university. i was so chuffed!

No I got mine at Christmas 2008.My parents had a really hard time getting one and my mum saw one in Holland while she was on a work trip!I bought mine on launch day, did you guys? I waited like 2 hours in line on launch day, but I went ahead and preordered mine so that i wouldn't have to wait longer? If you didn't get yours on launch or still don't have it, did you or do you have a really hard time finding one?

I got mine launch day, was one of the only 2 that got one at my local K-Mart because the manager was pissed over how Wal-Mart treated me for the midnight release. Even though I was first in line, and several of the people working that night even said I was first, people were threatening to kill me because I wasn't loitering outside all day(even though there was no outside line), so the manager said I couldn't have one. what an ass. so, the manager at K-mart let me buy one of the 2 they got.

Me and my buddies did a camp out get our Wii's on luanch day. Was pretty awesome, brought some chairs, some canvas, snacks, and our DS's and hung out in front of target for about 14 or so hours.At one point we orchestrated a couple rounds of Mario Kart with some of the others standing in line (I think there were something like 80ish other people camping out there overnight, we were like 50th in line and another 60 or so came in the morning). We also did waiting shifts while the other half went out to get food/SSBM tournaments at a nearby friends house.Most humorous were the fat short guy and tall skinny guy who came in at about 10 P.M. wearing green and red jump suits with fake staches and ran up and down the line.The annoying this is I got it almost exclusively for Super Smash Brothers Brawl... Except they ruined what made SSBM fun when they took out L-Canceling, and made everything floaty and overall much slower... So now, after having exhausted Wii sports, my Wii just sits here taunting me... The wait in line was more fun than this Wii

I sure as well didn't! Those things were really expensive when they came out!And there wasn't many games that you could keep playing at the start exceptfor The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess. And even after that, you had WiiSports, which was fun for playing with other people and Super Mario Wii.The start of the Wii's life was subdued in a very shallow games pool.Heh, I only got mine last year in november when there was a sale on atEB games!!
