How cool is the concept of a strategy based RPG? I mean, like Yggdra Union or Fire Emblem. Just post your opinions.

I really like them due to how you have to use strategy in a mostly turn based structure (Fire Emblem) but you also have to be aware of the stats of your characters during the battle like in most RPGs. Two great things in one (if done correctly) is good.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is one of the sweetest strategy based RPG's i've played. It's just so damn addictive, it's a shame it's so short though.

I like them, like Fire Emblem, since most of the series have a nice storyline behind them and the strategy of it all really gets you thinking about the defences of your team and the defence of your Lord(s) and stuff.

I don't like them constantly, but they are a good break from other games when you need one.

I think these kind of games can be either original or have a good story. The fun value and hardcore value is lost.
