Nope, I haven't used a floppy disk since 2002. The last computer I even had that had a floppy disk drive in it bit the dust in 2005, and it's just something you don't see anymore. Floppies are a dead technology.

No, no floppy drive anymore. I do have a big box of empty floppies from the mid-90's I can't bear to throw away though!

Is the cat in the box alive or dead?

If you open the box, you will know the answer.

You will know the truth.

However, until you open the box, you can claim that the cat is alive, and you can also claim it is dead.

Hey Aman, if you think that's low, back in the 80's Bill Gates said something to the effect of: "Well, 500KBs~ should be enough for anyone". It's funny to think about how media and technology surpassed everyones expectations, as even 100 times that amount (I forget the actual number B. Gates used, but it was similarly low) isn't anything at all nowadays. I have 3 computers in my house at the moment, and my oldest one has a floppy drive, though it hasn't worked in years (I think my oldest computer is about 7/8 years old).

My new PC has no Floppy drive, nor does my old PC. I've got several very old floppy drives sitting in my spare parts bin, though, but I doubt I'll ever use them for anything.

My last PC from 2002 did but my current one does not. I saw no sense in getting one installed. I find myself hardly using my DVD drive (one of which actually seized up from lack of usage) let alone a floppy one. My old laptop had it too but that's also been retired as well. Ah well. They have their place in history nevertheless.

My NT in my room still has one, but one of the metal guards on the floppy disk, got stuck in there and bent and came loose from the floppy...using a screwdriver got it out, but i broke the drive.making it un-usable.wish it still worked, cuz i could take a few and make music with them like the guys on youtube do.

I miss my floppy drive... that thing just made my day. I used to send people text files on floppy disks because it would just make them so upset that they had to get it off of a floppy disk.

I heard that they stopped making them, so if you still use them I don't know what to say. My previous computer did have a floppy drive, but that little guy was bought in 2004 so it wasn't really obsolete yet, and I did get some use out of the thing, if only for handing in papers to people who couldn't use Email. Or people clever enough to realize that old trick where you go and send them gibberish to get an extra day.

My old desktop still has a "floppy" drive. I use it occasionally, when I'm feeling nostalgic for the good ol games.

PC doesn't have floppy drive anymore. Was fun utilizing it to play simple Mario games stored in floppy back in the past. As for now, dropbox and USB thumbs store most of my document.

My old PC I used to have with my father had some of those, but I can't properly remember anymore.

Today, I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be that many PCs with Floppy Drives anymore...

I think people like using SSDs today more.
