I have games i have either given up on or put on hiatus, but in pure time playing a game. nothing beats my ff8 with 120 hours (mind you, i had the goal of getting EVERYTHING, which takes awhile in those games)

There has been to games that took me an eternity of finish with 100% and all characters in it max level.*The first one is Star Ocean, it took me long because I wanted to see all the endings, that's why is very long.(*)The second one is the original Metroid for NES.....that game sure was hard...not long but very hard.

I'd say probably Final Fantasy Tactics Advance...There's over like 300 hours of missions and stuff on there, it's crazy.

Longest consistently played: Baldur's Gate 2, just because it had so many different things you could do and alot like KOTOR2 if you made one character happy there was a good chance that their foil would become unhappy and leave the group.Longest without finishing out of pure spite: Super Mario Bros. , When I was younger I couldn't get the hang of that last castle and over time just never bothered to really go back to it, especially when Super Mario Bros. 3 came out.

The Legend of Zelda on the old NES system and Final Fantasy VII are the two games that took me the longest to beat.Zelda took me 7 years to beat because it always reset when you died. Final Fantasy VII I beat in 6 months. Usually, I beat games in a week or less without a walkthrough, then go back a second time to figure out what I missed, so overall, a single game takes me 2 1/2 - 3 weeks to beat.

same here. (:The main quest was the last quest I did, so I always ended up having numerous hours of game play before I completed the main quest.Morrowind, simply because it's so easy to get distracted from the main quest and just go questing about for tens of hours on end before coming back to it.
