For me it would have to be Final Fantasy 8, with the last boss fight with Ultimecia and Lionheart, since my characters weren't leveled up very well.

Spider-Man for the PS1. A gap of about TOW YEARS between buying, playing almost every day and finally beating it.

I managed to beat ff6 and ffX in about 80 and 60 hours (respectively). The longest i have played a single run of a game though was Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion; I clocked in about 120 hours (and finished EVERY quest) before i finally stopped. Of course this was over a few months.

I am sad to say, but for me it was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. almost a year stuck in the water temple. One day i accidentally managed to get to the boss, and finally escaped. So hard.

I still haven't beaten Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That timed bit in the water section of Ganon's castle is killing me... and it doesn't help that I lost my N64 in the move two years ago.I wasted at least ten hours on my first attempt at Megaman Battle Network 4: Blue Moon before my file got erased. A few months ago I picked it back up and beat it in twelve hours. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind took the longest. I love that game--still haven't beaten it. Well, I personally don't think it's possible to really beat it, but I never beat the main quest. Same with Oblivion, though that one's not mine... only spent five hours on it, but I achieved success of a sort as a thief. Fun...

there are games i never beated (despite im good) like pharaoh, it has lots of missions...the one took me most would be... ... megaman battle network 4 getting all stars (im still on that)

I still have yet to beat zelda II on the NES. It's been like 15 years. I just can't figure out how to get through Ganon's level.

Search on eBay for the Versus Books guide. It's absolutely fabulous. B)It's certainly taking me a long time to get all the trophies in Super Smash Bros. Melee....And as for games that I have beaten, I think that Halo 1 on Legendary took me the longest. I was stuck on the second part of Truth & Reconciliation for the longest time, and then came Two Betrayals... :o

Final Fantasy XII, i try to complete every game 100%, it usually takes me a few days, maybe one week, but not more.Till now only Kingdom Hearts II: FINAL MIX+ got me a nice challenge (2 and a half weeks to collect all those puzzle pieces :wtf:)But i bought Final Fantasy XII and i already had to restart it twice to get some things (accidentally took a treasure chest and, lucky me, it was one of the cursed ones, which stopped me from picking the weapon in that city that was destroied, forgot it's name already :)), and i'm still playing it to complete the LB, beat all bosses, get all items...Geez! A month till now.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Took about 70 hours to complete my first full play-through. I did restart it a few times though, so my total time spent on the game would be over 100 hours.
