Totally the opposite! I absolutely loved Sunshine..... dont get me wrong I loved sm64 too, but Sunshine seemed to take me away that special place only certain games can take you. Totally underrated.

Yes and no, Super Mario 64 was awesome, I was expecting an absolutely amazing game, although I personally think Sunshine was a pretty good game.

Let me list the dissapointments inside the huge dissapointment:The story- mario games don't have much of a story but this one tried to change that and failed, miserablythe squirt gun- it talkedthe cutscenes-many can't be skippedthe camera- mario 64's was better, and that was the very first 3d platformer everthe bosses- can be beaten blindfolded, check in youtube (actually i just made this one up to let you know they're too easy)the shines- yes, the sun is a star, but whatever happened to your 5 tip star? why the changethe bosses are not the only thing that is too easymany other things i don't even wanna list

No, of course not.Sunshine is a fantastic game and nintendo should be proud of it!I can't help feeling that nintendo is it's own worst enemy, games such as mario sunshine and zelda wind waker are always going to be jugded based on how they live up to expectations of past games and i think that that is totally the wrong way to go about things. mario was given the FLUDD and zelda was given the cel shaded graphics to make them individual, hoping that the gamers would therefore treat them as individual games, nintendo need to exercise their creative abilities because if they don't need nintendo could collapse in on it's self and then you can kiss goodbye to mario and zelda and have to make do with the likes of halo and gta

Well, it wasn't a HUGE disappointment, but I have to admit I was let down by the game. It was really just a rehash at 64. The levels for finding the red coins, and all of those little races against the purple guy were just too annoying.

It was almost as fun as Super Mario 64 to me, but I have to say nothing beats the good old 2D. I had lots of fun playing Super Mario Sunshine, even if the "secret of..." missions made me want to throw my Gamecube by the window.

While it didn't have the same impact on me as Super Mario 64 did, it still was a great, fun game. I found the story to be enjoyable and the controls were spot on. I still consider this to be one of the best games in the gamecube library. Definitely not a disappointment.

It's a really good game, except sometimes it gets too hard FOREVER, and the game is just too long. Seriously. And how can people mix up Mario with a blue guy? Amazing...
