Try the new link I put up there. It leads to the site's download page.Or the same link here, if you don't want to go back to page 1. -> http://desmume.org/download/

Thank you Sir VG, it works now and I'm downloading it as I post this. Thanks again!

Thanks for all the links guys! Can't wait to try this 'cause the rotation won't work on my No$gba v2.6a emulator...hopefully, this one will.Edit: Doesn't work on my comp :weep: Says: "Driver components mis-match. Exit is only option". What's going on?

It sounds like you need to update your graphic card drivers. Go to the website for your graphic card and download the latest drivers. See if that solves the problem.

This is really weird. I've tried a couple of different download sources but for some reason my hard drive goes bonkers when I unzip this thing. The only way I can stop it is shutting down my system. Then, even weirder, when I restart my system and try to open the folder I unzipped (correction, 'tried' to unzip) the emu into then my hard drive goes crazy again and I have to shut down again. Task manager doesn't open nothing works and I use the keyboard shutdown button. Very VEERY strange. Anyone help with this? I doubt it as I can't find anyone referencing to this sort of problem on google...weird stuff...

What do you mean by "going crazy"? Any specific symptoms? Freezing? What exactly is happening to your computer?

Heh sorry it took so long to respond but anyway... what happens is that my hard drive continually accesses for no particular reason and it takes up so much processor time that nothing else can load up. Really weird (I think I said that already). I experimented a little last night and from what I can tell it is the .exe(s) that are the problem. When I extract the readme individually (the .win) I can open it fine and everything is cool. Then I extracted the desmume.exe file (by itself) into a folder (so I can't see the .exe if you get me?) and no problem...until I open the folder and then bam, freeze city in that my hard drive light stays bright red and that's it, can't close the folder or do anything else and when I try to I get those 'end program now' windows popping up. Then I shut down the system using the keyboard hotkey shut down button thing and e.v.e.n.t.u.a.l.l.y. the system shuts down.2nd attempt (for this particular night) and I instead tried extracting the desmume ss2.exe (? can't remember exactly but that other .exe) into a clean 'new folder' so it won't display (if you get what I'm trying to say, which I understand if you don't cause I can't explain stuff goodnessly) and this time just trying to extract it makes the hard drive go mental and it was even l..o..n..g..e..r for the damn thing to shut down. Pain. This is sort of freaking me out cause I really haven't encountered anything like this before and apart from wanting to use the emu I just wanna know why this is happening...weird...

Since NO$GBA has stopped developing, DeSmuME has been advancing rapidly. If it isn't already better, it is close and will soon surpass it.Anyway, I just realized after beating the Elite Four that this whole time, battery saves (in-game saving) doesn't work for Pokemon Platinum. I relied on save states up until then. =\If I could somehow get the battery saves to work, I would start playing again. It was a real bummer finding out so late in the game that I couldn't do the post-pokemon league quests. Is there any way I can save in this game, or will I have to wait until the next release possibly?

Pokemon games should work just fine if you set the save type properly. I'm pretty sure there's an auto save type function in Desmume, just like there is in no$gba 2.6a.

That's pretty much common knowledge. It's been set on the autosave option the whole time. I tried everything to try and make it work but it still doesn't. Thanks anyway.

Hello, I just recently downloaded the latest DeSmuME, and I tried to play Super Robot Taisen OG SAGA: Endless Frontier. Everything loads just fine, until you reach the title screen. At that moment, the top screen is black and you can't see anything. The music is still playing, and I can technically still playing the game, but the top screen is completely black. I can't see what I am doing. Has anyone encountered this type of problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Well, if you want to use a different emulator, you should try NO$GBA Zoomer. That'll fix the problem.

http://desmume.org/2...0-9-4-released/DeSmuME 0.9.4 is now released in source code, Mac Binary and Windows Binary flavors. 0.9.3 was skipped as it was "caught by hunters who thought it was a Pokemon". >=)

I'm wondering if GBA slot works. There is a function under Emulation where you can insert a GBA Game together with a .sav (Most likely from VBA).

This is the second emulator I try on Windows 7 RTM with no luck at all. I'm starting to think it's something about my system, but not sure. Any ideas? I don't receive any errors or messages, I just dont see anything

I know that some people have issues with DeSmeME if you play the SSE version. This is caused by having a processor that doesn't support SSE functions. Try a non-SSE version of it and see if that helps.

This guide needs plenty of updating. Including the part about the SSE functions would probably be exceptionally helpful (considering how it's probably the main thing stopping everyone from switching to the latest DeSmuME SVN version, besides lack of awareness).Oh, and I managed to find what seems to be a linux version of 0.9.4 (the main one, not the SVN version) on Sourceforge, though the guide currently states that there's no version of 0.9.4 for linux. Mirrors have been added in our emulator download page.I would edit the guide myself* but I don't know enough; frankly all this talk about SSE and stuff alone is already giving me a headache (with the resulting amount of wikipedia-reading I've had to do :shiftyninja:). Someone with the right know-how must start the updating first, and then I can add what I know/can contribute.*(yeah I know this is atypical and all, but Im actually bored enough now to do some work. At least till the end of this weekend, when I'll be gone for 2 weeks again.)

I get the same error with DeSmuME 0.9.4 .....The desmume_nosse.exe works but that is still 0.9.4 though, how do I get it to work with SVN?

Get a new computer. Because the ability to use SSE is solely dependent on the processor. And if you have to change your processor, you'll probably have to get a new motherboard. Which means possibly a new case (depends on the board). Which may mean...well, you get the point.

I've been looking into compiling desmume from svn, it works properly but I'm not sure whether its the SSE version or not. How do I set that?

If the program exe says no_sse then it doesn't have it, otherwise yes it does have SSE.
