Only Official (numbered) releases come with the no_sse exe, so you would have to download 0.9.4

DeSmuME 0.95 was out since 11/27/2009 and it's a pretty significant update.Source: http://desmume.org/

I recently downloaded the newest version of DeSmuMe, and I'm having some graphical errors. Here it is running Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator:Posted ImageI have tried what I can by fiddling with the 3D settings. Enabling/disabling the extra options doesn't seem to make much of a difference. OpenGL sometimes shows colors for a second in the bottom screen (main 3D area?) but it is very choppy. SoftRasterize seems to run it more smoothly, but it still has no color. "None" sometimes just shows a black bottom screen. I have tried running it in 800x600 16 bit colors and 1024x768 32 bit colors and haven't seen much of a difference other than the size of the window. I do have to run it without SSE because I have an older computer, but I haven't tried any other games, so it might be this rom. Should I try running a different emulator? If so, which one would work best for a slow computer? Oh yeah, teh speks:Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3Intel Celeron Processor897 MHz, 512 MB of RAMThanks in advance.

I'll try it now and see if I can get "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator" working for you. I'll edit this post when I'm done testing. If not on the official version, I'll give you a link to the latest SVN (if it works on that instead).--------------------------EDIT: Got it using SoftRasterizer in the "3D Settings" menu and why are you using the non-SSE2 version? Any CPU that is a Pentium 4 or newer supports SSE2 instructions. You say you have an older PC but it can't be THAT old and still run NDS emulators at a decent speed. Try the regular version too. Also, there's no need to fiddle with your resolution and colour depth. Fortunately, that sort of thing disappeared after the Windows 98 era of gaming. You should see this:DesMuMe: v0.95 x86ROM used: http://www.dgemu.com...tails-3833.htmlPosted ImageNow if you absolutely can't get this to work, your only other option is no$gba 2.6a but that emulator runs far worse in general at this point so no guarantees there. If you still can't get it, please post your system specs including CPU, RAM, and video card.

I tried to use DeSmuME, but its freezes time to time and so crashes. I'll try the tips for aceleration, but im very glad with my other emulator. I wonder why DeSmuME always freezes with me. My PC has a good config and works many types of emulators.

Wikipedia claims that his processor only supports SSE, not SSE2: http://en.wikipedia....#Coppermine-128Could perhaps be a driver issue? Or maybe the emulator uses graphics rendering code that relies on technology not supported by older graphics cards?

If you use no SSE then that is a possibility, if not then your computer isn't fast enough OR (most likely), due to the running in game and the motion making it always move that could be what is slowing the Emu down.

What are the major advantages of this emulator as compared to others? Why is this one the most recommended

Cause it plays the most ROMs, has the least amount of program add-ons need to run those games and it easier to run.

I currently own a macbook, after downloading the mac osx version of DeSmuMe 9.5, if it managed to open the game, but it was so slow it was unplayable. The bottom screen wasn't really responsive either. However, I tried running the windows version on an win xp emulator, and it actually worked faster for me. I believe this means that the mac version is horribly compiled, is there any way to speed it up?I get 20 fps on the mac version, but 60 fps using a windows environment.

I believe this happened to me a while ago, check your computer resolution. I think it was an issue with 16 bit colors which aren't supported, only 32-bit, just change that and it should work fine (it it was the same thing that happened to me).

was gonna try it on the no$ next but i didn't want to waste ~1 hour of playing time, when you say switch to opengl are u talking about DSEMU or no$gba? Also where do i find the option for this?EDIT: NEVER MIND, I just realized it was loading slower than usual I.E. more than 1 minute, it IS working but it was just being slower than usual at this town than other towns.

Well now after noticing Infinite Space works to some degree, How do you equip modules? Or CAN you on the emulator? Anyone know anything about equipping modules for Infinite Space on the DSEMU?

yea I noticed that to on both this emu and no$gba the modules are there you just cant see them it makes it difficult but not imposable to modify you're ship. The easy way to do it is to select the module you want to equep press the button to do so then click in your bridge or ingene area until it switches to it.Then run the mouse around the outside of the ship until you scroll over it then it'll switch to its picture and discription and you'll have it.correction you can see it in no$gba with the 3D renderer set to opengl
