My favorite sonic game is Sonic Adventure 2, but...the rest of them suck...old sonic is better.

Old Sonic was good because it focused what was good about sonic.... he was fast. the new ones have too much storyline and guns and vehicles which defeats the purpose of being fast.

I liked the old Sonic games so much more. The only thing I liked about the new ones was raising Chao.

Go big or go home. Because it's true. What do you have to lose?

This isn't really fair considering nobody played the dreamcast sonics, those were better then the genesis ones, but the ones for PS2 and stuff suck badly but the 2 3rd ones on dreamcast are good, not as much physics getting in your way, you can do a u turn and keep all your speed lol

ive played the dreamcast sonics, and theyre just as fun as the old platform ones. to be honest, all the new ones have a ridiculous story line, and also that i think they keep adding in too many new characters, and they would only be there for that certain game. and also, i jus think the old ones are a bit mor challenging. >.<

Of course the old Sonic games rock, that's out of the question. The new 2D Sonic game, however, aren't half bad. Sonic Advance series literally took each new game to a new level in gameplay, Sonic Rush series is excellent all the way around, and Sonic Rivals is pretty good too. It's the newer 3D games that tick me off.

The old SEGA one.The new ones look nice, sure, but it kinda throws my head out of whack traveling at Sonic-the-Hedgehog speed in 3D. :P

Mmmm let's see, classic 16-bit Sonic single-handedly propelled Sega to rival Super Nintendo, and at its peak, was the most recognizable mascot of all time (even greater than Mario and Mickey). Modern Sonic? Living off of the glory of old-school Sonic, chipping away at the character's popularity bit by bit. God I pray that Sega does something right with Sonic and give a good Sonic game fitting for the next gen (as Mario64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy has done).
