"RESPONSIBILITY, n. A detachable burden easily shifted to the shoulders of God, Fate, Fortune, Luck or one's neighbor. In the days of astrology it was customary to unload it upon a star." --Ambrose Bierce
"BEARD, n. The hair that is commonly cut off by those who justly execrate the absurd Chinese custom of shaving the head." --Ambrose Bierce
"There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers." --Richard Feynman
"The great thing about television is that if something important happens anywhere in the world, day or night, you can always change the channel." --from "Taxi"
"Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from." --Al Franken
