i am a top gamer myself i think not being it becomes tiring buying different parts for an older computer that can't keep up with update models.

I built a PC primarily for GTA3, of course I then used it for a lot more things but GTA3 was why I updated it

It would take more than just one game to get me to upgrade. Once every 4 years I can see myself doing so, but I think it is a bit silly to get a whole new one every time.

Well, I prefer to play PC games rather than the consoles for my own reasons, but spending a crap load of money for one game is going a bit over-board...

Always has to buy something new? Hah! Almost true, it doesn't happen often. But DirectX10 is out now, so yeah, there's just a new GFX card. But hey, think of consoles, you got: Playstation, Playstation: One, Playstation 2, PSP and Playstation 3. And Xbox? Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox 360: Pro Edition. And Nintendo? No, Nintendo's list is too long to mention . But just play online games such as Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Half-Life, you don't need to buy a Dx10 GFX card. But I love to have a high-performance computer; not the expensive of the most expensivest, but the best of the best cards, coolers etc. (XbitLabs got great tests for cards, coolers, monitors etc.).//Nymph (aka Xzec)

I don't upgrade my PC for games that much mostly because my PC can handle mostly any game without much problems. That and I dont buy much PC games. I might upgrade it to play CRYSIS but im not sure if thats worth it and i might just get XBL to play Halo 3 online.

I might upgrade it to play CRYSIS

Not for Crysis only? You got alot of cool Directx10 games, such as Assassin's Creed, Age of Conan, BioShock, Call of Duty 4, Unreal Tournament 3, Lost Planet, Gears of War, Call of Juarez etc.

I am a gameplayer, and always will be. But i decided long ago to stop buying pc games. I mean each time a new one comes out, you have to buy something for your computer as well, thats why i turned to ps. Whats your point of view in this situation

i think people actually do that. For Example World of Warcraft.or WOW as sum ppl say

for one game? is your mind that NARROW?? D: I'm currently saving up on money to buy some high end computer parts( a super awesome comp case, graphics cards... ect.) so I can make a badass gaming computer( one that can be overclocked like a I couldn't think of anything intelligent to say, so I put this instead. without overheating). There is more than one game out there you know.... and even if I made it for playing one game there's bound to be more.... I am looking forward to playing Crysis on it in particular.... God I can't wait to see what it will look like with everything set to the highest quality on it, it might be something straight from the heavens.. nahh not really but it will be something XD

Probably, I mean it depends on the game. If it's WoW: Wrath of the lich king or burning crusade, Bioshock, Command & Conquer 3:Red Alert, Company of Heroes then yes. Anything else is probably a no

No, not for one game. If there's a string of games set to be released soon, though, I might do it.

Certainly not for one game, or even several, though if I did there'd be dozens of PC games I could finally play without worry, like Doom 3.I'll probably upgrade when they tune-up the PS2 emulator a bit better so that it can play more commercial games. Then I'll do it so my tons of PS2 games don't go to waste.

I only have a beef against the games that are so power hungry that they require two dedicated video cards, and the ones that make you pay a monthly fee. I don't play the ones that have a monthly fee, since I can't afford them, and as for the video card thing, I am not really into FPS games. The only one that I know of that takes a ton of graphical power is Crysis, but isn't that game over a year old now? I mean, I figure that by now they should probably have another game that pushes the envelope of graphics to the limit, but I haven't heard of any. Also, my computer is old. It doesn't have PCI express slots or anything, so I would need a whole new system. Even in the case of the motherboard, it only has a Socket 478 for the processor, so like I said, whole new system. If I am getting a whole new system, I would not just get one game, since that wouldn't be cost effective. I would probably get a whole bunch of games, though I don't know which ones yet. I already have Starcraft and Starcraft Brood War, so I would probably get Starcraft 2. I guess I could probably get Fable and Fable 2 if they come out for PC and a few other RPGs. Games like Civilization are also pretty cool, though I am not good at them yet.

No, I would never pay extra for a game because that's basically what you are saying.
