Chose Squirtle the very first time I ever played Pokemon. Chose Charmander my second time around for a challenge. Chose Bulbasaur the third time around, I assume to finish my Pokedex.Oddly enough, I think I've chosen Squirtle first and Charmander second on my FRLG playthrough. I guess that means I'll be picking Bulbasaur next if I pick up my GBA again.

I always chose squirtle in the beginnings, but lately I am starting to use charmander.

I Always pick Charmander now because of its ATK Power Bulbasaur is special attack and Squirtle is for Defense Power but I always pick like when it is green leaf i pick Bulbasaur and fire i pick Charmander but I dont do that anymore

well first pick i made was charmander when i realized the weaknesses of pokemons i started using squirtle in pokemon fire red and i used totodile in gold so i picked water pokemons

depends in pokemon Fire red I started with Squirtle, Then in Ruby I chose Mudkip and finally Piplup in the diamond.

Charmander is awesome, but i usually use squirtle becasue he can surf, which is, in my opinion the most useful HM that can be learned by the starter pokemon

Well I choose Charmander, cause Charizard look's awsome, sometimes I start with bulbasaur, rarely with squirtle =)

Same here i love squritle he turns into blastoise which is clearly the 2nd strongest full evolved pokemon, after charizard. and by the way bulbasuar has an advantage over brock, and misty lolI used Squirtle.Do you people,like,not realize if you choose him,you get an unfair advantage over brock?

I chose charmander cuz i thought charizard looked the coolest. the next time around i chose squirtle cuz i thought blastoise was cool too... i eventually got around to starting with bulbasaur, but i actually think venusaur isn't that cool

Squirtle is pretty much a numbercruncher's choice, so that's the one for me. Check the stats on all the pokemon and you'll see what I mean

i picked charmander.......i always pick the fire pokemon, they just look cool and i like how charmander looks like a bald guy with a fever.

I chose Squirtle the first time but after that I always chose Charmander. Because you can just catch a mankey and it can beat brock easily with fighting type attacks.Just like how in Emerald version I started with the fire pokemon and caught a grass pokemon to deal with the first gym, which is rock type.
