Squirtle. It was so cute when i first saw it when I was a kid, and weak to cute type attacks. And when it evolved into blastoise, a turtle with friggen canons on it's back, I was all like "Sweet."I've picked the others on replays, but normally it's squirtle. If only for the nostalgia factor.

Charmander cuz i think its kinda cool. Um... has powerful attacks? i like charmeleon, looks cute and fierce at the same time :wtf:

I allways choose Squirtle, and teach him blizzard as soon as I get the opportunity. I did use to beat Garys Venusaur with my Blastoise just to show off;)

Well, other than, "They're cute" or "cool" what other reasons did you choose charmander?I chose bulbasaur because he has an advantage over not one, but both beginning gym leaders. Also, I just admire grass type pokemon. I've always chosen grass types for a starter. Personally I think the water and fire types are weak against too many types.But that's only my opinion. 8D

I played the games when i was only 6 or 7, the only reason i ever chose charmander was because he was cool.

The very first time I played pokemon, it was the Blue version. I had read a little bit about it beforehand (geek!) and so I chose bulbasaur based on his type advantage in the beginning. Of course, I've beaten the game numerous times after choosing all three of the starters, so I suppose it all comes down to which one you like the best. As for me, I've always liked the Ghost pokemon the best, but there never was a ghost starter, so it usually depends on what mood I'm in when I start a game, for which one I choose.
