Hyou_Fushichiou's News & Current Events QuizForum RulesRules for CompetitionsQuiz Rules and Regulations1) This quiz is run only by me, Hyou_Fushichiou. I will ask the questions and you can respond with an answer.2) Answer in complete sentences. Also, I will take action if I see an "I don't know" response or similar. You may end up warned if you repeat the offense or break other DGEmu rules.3) This quiz will cover the various aspects of news and current events. I won't focus on any particular news from any particular field of study or geographic area. However, I will use the BBC (mostly BBC because I like it more) or CNN news websites to search for things to ask for, though I will ask questions vague enough that it should be the same for most news sources. The links to the relevant articles will now be added to the sets.4) Point Distribution:
5) Normally my posts will include one set (only one news article per set), but may also ask a question in parts (1, 2, 3... etc.). Responders only need to answer at least one of those parts in order to win points. This also means that one person can answer one part and one person can answer another part with both of them winning points for the parts they answered. It is possible for a question to have a hard part and an easy part meaning if someone answers both, that person can get 6 quiz points.6) Questions are, for the most part, objective; meaning they are based on facts not feelings and criticisms.7) There's no big prize at the end. This is just for fun and testing your knowledge. (May be changed...)8) I should also mention that the each individual set of questions expires after I start a new set. I want to keep this topic as up to date as possible so I don't want people answering questions more than a few days after they happened. I'm trying to go for a set per day.
- Hard questions get 5 points when answered correctly. [In-depth questions.]
- Medium questions get 3 points when answered correctly. [If you look deeper into the topic...]
- Easy questions get 1 point when answered correctly. [Hot news that you're likely to see repeatedly.]
- The only way to lose points is if you put an "I don't know" response o similar. In this case, you will lose 5 quiz points in addition to any GPs a mod may deduct.
